Bacchus Marsh Kebabs — Restaurant in Victoria

1 Star for the good food, can't complain there. BUT every time I order from there I'm told a wait time of 15 minutes, I arrive 15 minutes later if not longer and they haven't even started making my order. This was a regular occurrence so one day I kindly let them know "hey your food is good but the time management is a bit poor". Obviously didn't take this on board. I have noticed there are new owners and staff and tonight was the worst. Tried to call them for 10 minutes and every call went straight to voicemail so I assumed their phones were down or experiencing technical difficulties. Headed down to the kebab shop to order in person and before ordering I happened to ask if their phones were down, which the girl behind the counter said "no we're just busy so we turned off the phones". I'm sorry but if you offer a service you should be providing this service at all times when available, not just when it suits you. Was told the wait time would be 25-30 minutes and frustratingly waited 45 minutes. I was offered a free drink for the inconvenience but declined as all I ask for is better time service. I let them know this at the moment of picking up the food so I do hope they take this on board as my partner does love the food there and orders from...

Food was average, nothing special. Does the job when you're hungry and they did fill the box to the brim in all fairness (I got a HSP).

What really brought my review down was the appalling customer service. When the guy serving took my order he asked if I wanted cheese. I replied "no thank you", however clearly he misheard me as he put cheese on it. Not a big deal, mistakes happen. I've worked in a kebab shop before so I know how some customers can be, and I would've been happy just get another one without cheese and leave a decent review. Instead of apologising though he began arguing with me telling me I said yes to cheese, and it was only after I told him I didn't several times that he begrudgingly went and made a new one for me. If I'd reacted like that when I worked in a kebab shop I would've been fired on the spot.

If you decide to eat here, I would reccomend trying not to get the guy with slicked back hair...

I used to eat here maybe twice a month and look forward to it. However my wife and I purchased a take away combo and extra kebab a couple of weeks ago. The chicken was dry, minimal salad, and the chips were so salty we couldn't eat it, so the whole lot went in the bin.

Today I was walking by and thought I'd mention it in person. The owner was not in but I mentioned it to the young fella who gave me a silly smirk and a half baked apology. When I mentioned why the smirk he then got sarcastic and stated he's just a worker with attitude. My attempt to help was unoticed. I got frustrated at his sarcasm and gave him a small serve. As I was leaving he continued to be smart.

So my attempt to help in person left me feeling like why even bother. Hence the review.
