I visited here for the 1st time late on the afternoon of Friday December 27th. I ordered 4x steamed dims. They did have a sign out saying they were short staffed, so I understood the 10 minute wait although I was the only customer there. The dim sims were served just warm, not at all hot. When I got to the last one which was now only luke warm, I stopped and inspected the middle of it and it was still pink inside,so little were they not stored on hold at the correct temperature ,nor were they properly cooked. They presented as of the home made variety.
I spent the the rest of Friday night and Saturday morning emptying my stomach thru my mouth. And the the remaider of Saturday emptying my lower stomach and bowel ,while in the seated position . Saturday afternoon was spent shopping for electrolytes , to deal with the dehydration and mineral imbalance of 14 oral expelsions.
Sunday morning was spent buying Kombucha and Kefir to deal with the nuclear bomb my gut biome had experienced .
.After visiting the chemist today (Sunday). For some corrective medication finally 30 hours later , the symptoms have started to abait . Dim sims $10 Rectification supplements $30 And 2 x rolls of toilet paper.
I should have taken the young assistant not understanding how ring up the sale for 1 item and the young guy at the back of the shop , avoiding eye contact...
Read moreVery racist. The staff there gave free chips and calamari rings to white customers. However, my uncle had to pay full price for whatever he ordered. She used a very condescending tone towards my relatives and shooed them out of the store when they didn't realise how the buzzer inside worked. I will not be coming back to this store in the future, and I would advise people not to come here.
Update: she didn't even give me the calamari that I paid for.
Reply to owner: No, I did not judge the staff member by the colour of her skin. I merely pointed out the difference in tone , behaviour, and customer service. Judging by your aggressive response, it seems that you are the only ones at fault here. You have not replied with this much aggression to any other reviews that discuss the issue of customer service. We never asked for any free food, and I would also like to point out that you did not mention anything about the calamari I ordered not being in the package. If this is how the staff handles negative reviews, by insulting people, then this establishment is not one that I will be returning to. I would much prefer to go to a more 'civilised' one since we appear to live in a 'civilised'...
Read moreI have been a long time customer at Barwon fish and chips and used to go weekly, unfortunately as of recent I’ve had a few altercations with one of the female staff members and felt uncomfortable to continue going to this fish n chip shop which saddened me as it’s the best fish n chip shop in Geelong. Today I decided to pop in for lunch, I was instantly greeted by a lovely older gentleman (i unfortunately didn’t catch his name). I spoke to him about the issues I had regarding the other staff member and he was so apologetic and instantly called his boss and got me on the phone to him. I spoke with lance the owner who was very apologetic, he was extremely lovely and respectful and has gone above and beyond to rectify the situation, I have never experienced customer service so exceptional but Lance and the gentleman behind the counter have been fantastic!!! After speaking with both of them it is clear they take the utmost pride of their store and ensuring customer satisfaction is their top priority.
