Chilli Bites — Restaurant in Victoria

We were coming back from Lakes Entrance and were craving for Indian food. Searched on google and found this restaurant in Warragul. I made a group booking over the phone. This restaurant is located on Smith street. Ample of parking available. Nice little restaurant with a capacity of around 30-40 people. The owner was a nice guy and was serving the food himself. We ordered Dal Makhani, Shahi Paneer, Mushroom do payaza. Food quality was good. Everyone liked the food. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. For a change, their toilet was very neat and clean which normally other Indian restaurants lack behind. Overall good experience. P.S. The food took well over an hour and a half to arrive. We rang the store to ask where our order was as the menulog app was saying it had already been delivered. A woman answered and was extremely rude. She said “I don’t know. He’s on his way. He’s probably stuck in traffic or something” in a very snappy tone. At this point it was 8:30pm on a Sunday, so I highly doubt traffic was heavy between Warragul and Drouin. The delivery guy arrived 15 minutes later, so our guess is he left when I rang them, as it does not take an hour to travel one town over and the food felt warm still, like it had been sitting under heat lamps. Ordered at 6pm on a friday night via gippsland eats app. Got a confirmation text saying delivery would be 8pm. 2hrs after initial order. Tried to call restaurant direct and got answering machine. Left a message saying please call me back asap as have some questions about our order. Never got a call back. :-( terrible service. Food arrived just before 8pm. A main meal serving was the same size as a entrees meal we ordered. Flavours were nice. But a 2hr wait for $80.00. Was not worth the wait or money. Will complain direct to company as well.
