The place looks 'the business' to be the best joint in town for brunch. Attractive, interesting with indoor & outside seating. I had to do a follow up for our menus and water- we'd been forgotten. Covid times have been tough on establishments; the menu did explain their paired back options, however, as a customer, my desire of value for money hasn't changed. All-day Brunch options was essentially eggs on toast $12 and add your side options $4ea. I was expecting two poached eggs perched on an industry standard of two decent slices of toast (I've seen their photos), not eggs riding pillion on one slice lucky to be a centimetre thick. I added smoked salmon and the portion was very good a nicely curled into a rosette. If Hollandaise sauce was an option I would have ordered that too, as I love eggs royale. A green garnish would have lifted it. The $7 milk shake comes in a retro metal vessel, not quite half filled. What's the point of such a large vessel when the tide is out? Come on! 🤔If you've run out of milk and bread nearing 2pm closing time, let us know and price accordingly or be generous and we'd be more likely to return. Read moreA very pleasant interior seems to mask the overall disappointing culinary experience. I ordered "eggs your way" as there other two options on the menu didn't appeal (eggs with cold yogurt and turkish bread and waffles). It cost nearly 30 dollars for 2 mushrooms, a single cube of feta and a hearty serve of avocado on top of 2 slices of bread that were supposed to be sourdough but looked and tasted like supermarket bread. We thought that after waiting 15 minutes for a table we would have enjoyed our meal and coffee more, but everything was middling. My boyfriend had the turkish eggs and had nothing positive to say. The coffee was likewise fine, but...
