👎⛔️🗑🚮 Meh. I LOVE a bakery, especially a country one... Four of our family went here and.... UNFORTUNATELY the meat pie$ were 'just warm' and oddly quite flavourless.... I'm not a gambling man, BUT, I bet there were better pies in the pie warmer down the road at the petrol station. Again, to our disappointment, the $ausage rolls ta$ted like the salty stuffing from a supermarket roast chicken... the birds enjoyed that too. I $TRONGLY believe that the owner doesn't taste their own product$ and is just catching all the 'one-off travelers' passing through or staying at the caravan park that pop in for a feed. I believe there's a rea$on why ALL the cockatoos are SO FAT in the park outside,... everyone is giving the bakery food to them instead of eating it. I'm not a fan of writing undesirable reviews... ANYWAY, I truly hope we got them...

As a tourist destination you would expect the customer service to be a little more welcoming however i was completely ignored by who appeared to be the manager perhaps who continued to serve everyone in the store until it was my turn I went to say my order and she blatantly looked at me and just turned her back and started working on in house chores and I had to stand there waiting for a young girl to finish serving so she could take my order. As I ordered finally, others had entered the bakery and the First Lady dropped what she was doing and continued to serve others who appeared to be locals. I left the store feeling uncomfortable and couldn’t help but think it was a race matter.

Cannot rate the pies as I am from the city, it would be unfair to compare the quality for a small town. But weren’t exactly the...

We had a group booking at the bakery (14 people for lunch after visiting the Zoo) and there was not one negative comment. We all had coffee, slices, pies, pasties, sausage rolls and ham and chicken salad rolls. It was all very fresh, tasty and really first class. Prices very reasonable for good solid tucker. Thoroughly recommend and have been before and we will go back. Just want to also be really critical of some of these sharp reviews. Every time I have been there these guys have been flat out because it's top quality food at great prices. You people sayi g the staff were rude have no concept of working under such pressure. Nobody has ever been rude to me. They are just flat out and they dont have a lot of time for a lot of pleasantries. You people making these comments are the...

Every town needs a good bakery and Halls Gap certainly is up there with having an excellent one. Over the Easter period, this place was hopping with people coming for their daily bread, that lunchtime pie or a sweet treat. The staff worked tirelessly to serve everyone and always managed to keep smiling. The bakery is in the middle of Halls Gap within the Stony Creek Stores shop area. You can choose from hot food or cold. Bread, cakes, slices, croissants, premade sandwiches, rolls and focaccias as well as cold drinks. Something for everyone here. Prices are reasonable. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Pram and stroller accessible. Good parking across the road.

At Halls Gap Bakery, the veggie pastie contained a typical mix of vegetables including peas, potato, and corn, providing a familiar and comforting taste. It had a good amount of filling. The sausage roll was enjoyable. They offer a standard selection of desserts typical of country town bakeries. The jam donut was overly sweet and somewhat greasy. The various salad rolls looked delectable. Service was generally friendly from the two young ladies working there. However, on a previous visit, the staff seemed grumpy, leading to a decision to leave and return another time.

The sandwiches here are always fresh, and the food is great. However the steak and onion pie that I had just didn't taste the best. One thing that really let's this place down is the customer service, the kids here just don't understand that serving a customer who has been waiting is more important than cleaning the dishes or putting stuff away. Not to mention the cupcake that was put upside down icing at the bottom of the bag...
