Halls gap coffee shop — Restaurant in Victoria

They were really good the day before when they were quiet and I was going to give them five stars. As soon as they had a few customers (im talking about two tables tops), the service went completely downhill. I told them again and again not to fill my Ember cup to the top and they still did. Then, as expected it spilt all over their floor while trying to sort out its logistics (even after they poured some back out, which they were miffed about). Now they completely ignored me and as I couldnt stand staring a while puddle of spilt coffee right in front of the door for safety purposes, I went to clean it up. Now I dont know about anyone else but if I saw my customer literally mopping the floor with serviettes, I'd stop what I was doing and fix it first. Instead they proceeded to make another THREE TABLES of coffees. I dont even know if they noticed - so this is me putting them on notice. It's not abnormal to not be able to take influx of customers in a seasonal town - it is NOT ok having your customers literally wiping your floors kneeling over your floor, and doing...

We planned to go here for pizza for my daughters birthday and happened to go to the newsagent next door that afternoon and realised the coffee shop was shut. After talking to the fella working at the newsagent we come to realise he worked at the coffee shop too. We told him how we had planned to buy pizza there that night but realised it wasn't going to be opened. Hearing that we wanted to go there for dinner, he said he would open up for us that night. Sure enough we went back at 6 pm and he and his staff went over and above for us. They made us 6 pizzas, and then we asked him if he had any table water. He said this was his first time opening for dinner and proceeded to go fill 12 glasses of water for us and bring them out on a tray. These people truly went all out to make our night special. The original ice cream shop in Hall's Gap, Victoria. Very large selection of ice creams in standard or waffle cones. They also have a selection of coffees and tea, milkshakes etc. A good place to grab the kids and yourself a ice cream. Generally not as busy as the competition up the road so ecpect to get served faster.
