I don’t usually leave reviews, especially negative ones, but our visit to Hungry Jack’s in Horsham was so frustrating and disappointing that I feel compelled to share.
We stopped in for what we thought would be a quick bite during a road trip—nothing fancy, just a fast food meal to get us back on the road. Instead, we ended up wasting over half an hour of our time with absolutely nothing to show for it, not even an apology.
We placed our order and paid at the counter like normal. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, and there was no indication that there would be any delay. We sat down and waited patiently at first. Ten minutes passed. Then fifteen. We assumed they were just behind and didn’t think much of it—until we hit the 25-minute mark, and still nothing. No food, no updates, no acknowledgment from staff.
At that point, we started to feel like something wasn’t right. We looked around and noticed other people were also waiting, some clearly annoyed. It didn’t look like any food was actually being made. Staff were moving slowly, not communicating, and no one seemed to be managing the orders. There was zero urgency, zero organization, and zero customer service. It honestly felt like they were doing everything except making food.
After 30 minutes had passed, we went up to the counter to ask about our order. The staff seemed indifferent and didn’t offer an explanation, an apology, or even a rough time frame. Just blank stares and mumbled responses. At that point, we asked for a refund. The person at the register processed it without a single word of apology or even a basic “sorry for the wait.” It was like they didn’t care at all that we’d been sitting there for half an hour with nothing.
We left feeling frustrated, disrespected, and still hungry.
This was supposed to be fast food. There’s nothing “fast” about waiting half an hour and then giving up because the staff clearly had no intention of preparing our food anytime soon. I understand that things go wrong sometimes—equipment breaks, staff call in sick, rushes happen—but the complete lack of communication or care from the team made this experience far worse than it needed to be.
It’s not just about the wait—it’s about the attitude. If someone had just said, “Hey, we’re running behind,” or “Sorry for the delay, your order’s coming,” that would’ve made a huge difference. But they said nothing, did nothing, and offered nothing but silence and disinterest. That’s not how you treat paying customers.
We’ve eaten at plenty of Hungry Jack’s locations over the years, and usually the service is at least decent. This location, however, was by far the worst we’ve ever encountered. If you're in Horsham and looking for a place to eat, I strongly suggest going literally anywhere else.
Bottom line: save yourself the time, stress, and disappointment. This Hungry Jack’s is a mess—poor service, unacceptable delays, and staff who don’t seem to care. It’s hard to imagine a worse fast...
Read moreRead moreGood Friday am. 930 am. No option but to order on screen. Ridiculous system of calling out initials when your order is ready. 4 junior staff. Holiday traffic so very busy. Music so loud people couldn't hear staff call when order was ready and staff so quiet and timid no-one could hear them. Orders sat on counter going cold due to this, and customers resorted to opening and rifling through bags to see if it was theirs. ( Yuk!) Customers coming in, seeing the chaos and walking out. (my family had already decided to sit outside due to how high the music volume was) I ordered at 935. Got my cafe drinks at 945 and my food at 1010. ( Coffee was well cold by then) I could see my order flashing on the screen and either being ignored/ too hard/ too big? - 3 burger meals. People came in way after me got served and left. My family thought it hilarious as I had insisted on HJs due to a bad experience at Horsham Mc D's. Do better. The team leader apologised for the wait and I nearly told her to either speak up or turn the music down but she looked close to tears so I bit my tongue. I would have asked for a refund and left but doubted the staff could have dealt with anything that complicated and my order was $45. Cold fries, cold coffee, overflowing bins, dirty tables. A complete horror show. Put extra or at least more experienced staff on if it's obviously going to be busy. And go back to numbers. You're not a...
I recently visited Hungry Jack’s, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and vibrant, with a clean and comfortable dining area that made it a pleasant place to enjoy a meal.
The food was the real highlight of the visit. Everything I ordered was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The burgers were perfectly cooked, with a juicy patty and fresh toppings, while the fries were crispy and golden—just the way I like them. The menu had something for everyone, and I appreciated the quality and consistency of each item.
The service was equally impressive. The staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient, ensuring that my order was accurate and delivered promptly. They went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, and it was clear they cared about providing a great customer experience.
Not only all that but she offered us to dine in and let us pray for our religious duties during close to midnight and let us leave later after midnight. GOOD ON YA DONNA THE MANAGER.
Overall, Hungry Jack’s exceeded my expectations in every way. It’s not just a place to grab fast food; it’s a spot where you can enjoy good quality meals, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere. Highly...
