The venue was nice and in a good location. Booking was nice and easy online, and we were greeted promptly on arrival. The menu options were good too. However the experience went downhill from there - the entrees were delicious (we had the garlic bread and calamari) but the cocktails we'd ordered at the same time as the food came out about 10 mins after the entrees (and they'd taken awhile themselves), which was a bit weird. Luckily they were delicious - the highlight of the dinner. After the entrees came out, we waited almost an hour for the mains to arrive, which was incredibly frustrating. It felt as though they were waiting for us to order more drinks before they'd bring the food out, plus it also seemed like they were understaffed. We saw a couple of other tables get tired of waiting for their meals and have to go and ask what was happening, and their food came out within 5 mins after this, which was interesting. The mains themselves were average. My husband and I both ordered pasta dishes (he got seafood pasta and I got carbonara) and strangely enough, we both found that there simply weren't enough noodles, which meant I was quickly left with a bowl of sauce and bacon. Given pasta is the cheapest part of the dish to make, it seemed like a very odd situation to be in. The flavours were nice though, and the serving sizes were generous (albeit without enough pasta). All in all we were probably dining for close to two hours, and a large portion of that was sitting around waiting for food, and they weren't overally busy (there were plenty of spare tables). I'm hoping that this experience isn't a typical one as I really would like to think this restaurant would generally be good, but I can only go by what happened when...
Read moreWe came in with 8 adults and 2 children on a Saturday night for 39th birthday. For how busy this place was at the time, they did an amazing job. The servers did a very good job keeping up with everything.
We had alot of different Entrees and everyone had a main and all the food came out at a faster amount of time than expected.
Everything was well priced.
I tried a seafood stir-fry which was nice, I just have a pet peeve when shells tails are still on prawns when they are in a stir-fry type meal. I'm probably the only person in the world that doesn't like having to take off the shell.
The lambshanks were huge. Garlic pizza the best one we have eaten. Cocktails were really nice and well made.
Drinks did take a little longer than we hoped for our first order of drinks, however our next order of drinks came with-in 3-4 minutes, which is a decent speed for how busy the place was.
Nobody really liked the chips that were served with some of the meals.
Nothing bad that makes us want to drop any stars, and the service was fantastic. You all did an incredible job for your busiest night in a while.
Just a side note,
It might be nice to incorporate a spot behind the bar for parents with prams, so they can be stored somewhere out of the way. It is very hard to find parking close in your street. It's not a big deal, but it would be a nice gesture if there is a space available that doesn't get in your way while trying to serve, instead of patrons having to take their pram back to their car prior to...
Read moreThe hospitality was ok. The staff was young and that was indicative of the type of service that was offered. For example, kind of dumping the place mats and the cutlery on the table and walking away without saying anything. The drinkware was dirty, both the water and wine glasses had smudge marks and finger prints on them; making me very hesitant to want to drink out of them. The food was great, super tasty and cooked well enough. However I believe the entree was extremely over priced. I ordered spring rolls, to which only two medium sized rolls were served on a plate for $14.90. Despite all this (which I could over look potentially), I was extremely disappointed to observe the owner belittling one of his staff members at the bar whilst she trying to serve and juggle his requests to her. He seemed to be stressed at the amount of activities occuring concurrently and transferred his chaotic attitude towards his staff. Whilst he wasn't blatantly rude, he was dismissive and demanding in a demeaning manner. She looked shaken and seemed to be trying to keep her demeanor together whilst getting on with her task. I have worked for bosses like this before and I was extremely unsettled to watch this going on. I will not go back to this restaurant purely for that reason. If you happen to read this review and know who you are, I think you were doing an...
