I recently had the misfortune of dining at Jasmine Kebabs that served what can only be described as the most revolting meal I have ever encountered: The Garbage Plate. From the moment the dish was placed in front of me, it was abundantly clear that this culinary creation was a complete disaster.
First and foremost, the presentation was abysmal. It genuinely looked like a mound of discarded scraps, resembling a heaping pile of leftovers that had been scraped off the kitchen floor. The unappetizing mishmash of processed fake meat, if it can even be called meat, was unidentifiable and lacked any semblance of flavor. It was an insult to the senses, both visually and gastronomically.
But the lack of love and care put into the food was the most disappointing aspect of this meal. It was evident that the sole purpose of this dish was to extract as much money as possible from unsuspecting patrons. There was no attention to detail, no consideration for taste or quality. It was a blatant money grab, and the lack of passion and craftsmanship was truly disheartening.
I cannot emphasize enough just how unpalatable this meal was. Every bite brought a wave of regret and disgust, and I found myself longing for a glass of water to wash away the unsavory aftertaste that lingered in my mouth. It was a regrettable experience that left me questioning the standards of the establishment that served it.
In conclusion, "The Garbage Plate" a.k.a meat on chips, was an utter disappointment. It's a meal that should never have seen the light of day, let alone be served to paying customers. The lack of effort, the unappealing appearance, and the tasteless, processed ingredients all contributed to an experience that I would not wish upon my worst enemy. Save your money and your taste buds, and steer clear of this culinary...
Read moreFIVE STARS! I can't believe I'm doing this, but I'm actually going to give this place five stars, and those that follow my reviews know that I don't do that lightly.
God, where do I even start?
The service, the most wonderfully mannered bloke you have ever met, tiny little unassuming kebab van, honestly when I first walked up to it I really wasn't expecting much.
The kebab, Jesus Christ, what I will say is that there are established, highly reputable kebab shops in Melbourne that could learn A LOT from this bloke.
Some of the freshest ingredients I have ever tasted, it's also important to note that the chicken in my kebab wasn't straight off a donna, it was in fact deli chicken, the type you would get from the supermarket, genuinely didn't think I was going to like it, can't believe I've lived this long without trying it.
The garlic sauce, present and accounted for, a nice kick without being overpowering.
The layering, the serving size, it was borderline perfect.
The price, $12, 50 cents for cheese.
I've been rating kebab shops around Melbourne for the past year or so now, congratulations to Jazmin Kebabs, you've just become only my third ever five star rating. Please don't change a thing, you're as perfect as perfect could get.
Will definitely be coming...
