Jimmy's Fish Shop — Restaurant in Victoria

As our favorite fish and chips was shut for holidays we decided to try food here as we remember the times when a Norvegian family owned the shop and we drove from the city to have their food. We tried several times after and never liked the result, this time was not much better. Potato cakes were allright, but the scallops were a disaster. They looked enormous, but it was all batter and the tiniest piece of scallop inside, i've never seen anything like that. I wonder what the owners think of their business. Me and my wife decided to try Jimmy's Fish Shop tonight, as our regular Fish N Chip shop George's Fish N Chips was closed. It's fair to say that we were very dissapointed with dinner and didn't even finish our meal. Potato cakes were as thin as paper, dim sims were still white and not even golden brown(not cooked properly either). The Flake was the biggest let down. For what you pay, you get a tiny piece of flake and the batter was very average. Not to mention they must not be deep frying at the correct temperature as the food did not seal and was just saturated in oil and grease. Safe to say that we will not be...

Was just in Bacchus Marsh for the night and randomly stopped outside the shop to go to the ATM across the road. Decided then to get some fish and chips. Unbelievably they weren't greasy at all the paper was clean. The fish was moist, crisp and hot, was all very good.
