Lakes Entrance Fishermen’s Co-op — Restaurant in Victoria

Very disappointing with the offering of this place. We were there 9am and they were just opened 5 minutes later and still has not put out the price yet.

We had to ask one by one the price and the guy quoted $35/kg for the scallops. After payment were made I thought it was too much for less than half a kg and asked, it was actually $52/kg.

We also got a snapper from there $30/kg and the fish wasn't even scalled not to mentioned cleaned up...

Truly disappointing experience of fishmonger, it's probably targeting tourists in holidays mood who are spending without much...

This place is a co-op, they receive their fish / crustaceans when the boats come in and are available. It’s not your standard city store, that buys from a market, stores it, freezes etc to prolong its life and sells it to you. This shop is buying from the trawlers, direct from the ocean… even if it’s a day old, you won’t get fresher than this, in any city seafood store. This place is awesome, any friends who pass thru this town, is made to make a special trip for me, bringing my goodies back...

Absolutely beautiful prawns, mussels, fish ect, The 2 young lady's that served us today where absolutely amazing, very knowledgeable, helpful, kind and smiling and very welcoming.
