Madeley St Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Victoria

Absolutely disgusting and a waste of money. I’d rather get fat off of food that is delicious and worth the money. Ordered via phone at 6pm for 6:45pm pick up. Arrived at 6:55pm and it still wasn’t ready... Got home and the chips and potato cakes were soggy, oily and just unappetising. The potato cakes were RAW IN THE MIDDLE!?!?! Even the servo gets potato cakes right...? Also heard the owner yelling at one of his staff members out the back which shows he cannot handle the pressure. The whole experience was horrendous. As a local of 20 years that usually goes to Oceanview Fish and Chip shop, I won’t be making the mistake of going to Madeley St Fish and Chips...

The most awful fish n chips I've ever experienced. The place smelt like burnt oil I should of ran for the hills by then but decided to give this place a go. The fish was overpriced, we asked for extra crispy but it was undercooked and dripping in burnt discusting oil, the oil actually soaked right through the paper and left oil on my kitchen bench top, also I asked if the calamari was real or prefab as my son won't eat prefab and they had no idea, they then showed me a very suspicious looking calamari ring, appearing to be frozen and very prefabricated t,then telling me they "think" its real? Honestly I'm sorry but l will never...

Wow. If you want dry food, a peice of chicken that only covers half the bun and has the flavour of old burnt oil that must not have been changed in at least a week, then this is the place for you. Took three bites as I was absolutely starving, then threw it in the bin. Will not be surprised if end up feeling sick. This was their 'day time' version of the store "Moey's"....
