So I used to work at Maccas in Echuca, I worked in the Kitchen and out the Front and I've never left a review regarding another store simply due to the fact that Echuca isn't the best and I've seen worse, but I also understand when stuff goes wrong. But that said I was not impressed by the store in Belmont near Geelong. I walked into the store at 10pm on Saturday the 17th of December, and it took a good five minutes before someone even walked into the front area to check for customers, it was then that I was reluctantly served, after I was I had to grab my own receipt from the printer as the server had walked away. Before anything was ready to be made, let alone served, my receipt was printed off ay the HLZ and my number came up on the pick up screen, but when I walked up to collect my order I was told it would be a little while longer. I assume the lady printed it off to look after the serving times in the store, but this certainly isn't the correct procedure. As I waited for my order I watched the kitchen employees and I wasn't impressed there either, for both Gentlemen we missing their aprons and hats and one fellow wasn't wearing a bead net, when he really should have. I also saw the other bloke was using blue raw meat gloves while on the line! A manager even walked past while he was wearing them, and said nothing! Finally, while watching the kitchen bloke make my order I saw him drop a choc chip hotcake on the ground, he picked it up and put it back on the line, then looked around, it wasnt until he saw me watching did he decide to go get a fresh hotcake to replace the one that fell on the ground. To make things worse, after he slid the food into the HLZ, instead of putting that bad hotcake into the waste bin, he placed it on top of the UHC, I assume this was to serve to someone else later. This store really needs to pick up its management...
Read moreLast night I came through drive through after ordering using the maccas app. The app charged me the $8 for my order, but when I got to the window I was told that it declined. I showed them in my banking app that I had been charged, and they said that "this happens sometimes, It will come back in 2 or 3 business days" and advised that I had to pay again. Fair enough I guess...
Except, (as I showed / told them) After paying the first time, I had just over $20 left for the long weekend. I drive UBER, which during the pandemic, has been a very difficult time financially.
Having to pay for my meal twice, on the promise that it will be back in my account sometime next week, doesnt help that $8 worth of fuel, on the FIRST BUSY UBER NIGHT IN 3 MONTHS, means based on fuel milage of my car, I lost about 100km of driving. which means That I ended up earing ~$100 less before I had to stop working for the night.
Don't you think that if your (Multibillion dollar, multinational company) app messes up and takes our money without paying the store, that maybe McDonalds is in a better position to eat an $8 loss, than someone who only chose to eat here, because the app special was the best deal I could find for under $10.
100% Dissapointed. Will not be bringing uber passengers to this location in the future.
On a side note, the staff at this store were appologetic, and this has no bearing on the service provieded by the team members. As always, they are a friendly team, and the food is 10/10 as expected from...
Read moreCustomer service is terrible. I waited 25mins in the drive through, i spent $43 then was served cold chips. I asked for fresh chips, they replaced them. Went I got home I opened my burger the bun was rock hard, i went to eat the fresh chips and realised they gave me a half full medium and large chips when i had ordered two large meals. Then I go to get my Sunday and instead of one choc and one caramel iv got two choc with caramel mix in both, what the? The nuggets were cold. So i rang and asked for a full refund considering my hole meal, including the ice cream was disgusting. The lady said that I ordered two choc Sunday's with caramel in them because that's what the order said , um no I did not. Then the lady told me no she would not give refund, she would only replace the medium chips for a large. I got a bit upset i told her id drive back and give all (f bomb) food back. She said no she will not refund me. I asked to talk to someone else, she would not put anyone else on the phone and hung up. I tried calling back no answer. So i rang waurnponds MacDonalds. I was so frustrated, I told them what had happened and they were very nice and understating. They told me to contact customers suport on the website so thats what I'm doing. Im never coming to this MacDonalds again...
