McGuire's Bistro — Restaurant in Victoria

We were a group of 6. The only other person in the place was a gent on his own. We ordered at 12.15 pm, one order came out about 20 minutes later. The rest of us waited. Then another meal came, both had finished their meal before 2 more meals arrived at 1.45. Eventually by 2.00pm the last 2 meals arrived. We were waiting on a chicken Caesar salad and a fried rice. Not too difficult I would have thought. Waitress commented, "isn't this supposed to be a chicken caesar salad?" Yes! " where's the chicken? I am so sorry" Clearly embarrassed at the lack of chicken. I have been here in the evening and had a lovely meal with good service. However for luchtime service, a dismal fail. 1 star for encouragement...

Went there for dinner on the 25/02/2024 The service was excellent The bar lady went out of her way to assist us in getting a meal for our special needs child As she has difficulty with eating some foods and is unable to feed herself This was not an issue for this lady (I’m sorry I did not get your name ) or the chef Whom provided a meal for us which was not on the menu for our daughter As for the food that me and my wife ate It was pretty bloody good Snitty was very nice Steak sambo was awesome Beer was good to

Waited a long time for our lunch,staff notified, ordered before others, got ours later then theirs. A hair was found in homemade chicken pie,tartare sauce with fisherman's baskets was only enough for 2 dip ins and chips were cold under the fish. They sweetened the deal with free dessert to which one was not served theirs and had to remind staff again which meant another wait. Will be last meal...
