Peking City — Restaurant in Victoria

First and foremost, the waiter staff were lovely. They looked really young, and i commend you on your work ethic and being as professional as can be. The atmosphere of the place was dark and damp like a morgue, but it was quiet which was relaxing.

My friend & I decided to come to this restaurant when we were visiting Shepparton and it absolutely ruined our experience. 3 hours after eating Lemon Chicken, Sweet & Sour Pork and Fried Rice, we both were throwing up and sitting on the toilet dealing with vomit from the other end. It has been 2 days since the time we had Chinese here and we are still experiencing the effects of this. Our GPs have advised we have salmonella which is accompanied by Fevers, Chills, Vomiting, Dihorrea, Fatigue and a Constant Headache from throwing up multiple times.

If an elderly person had got this, they would be dead.

We had not eaten at all during the day, as we were exploring the town and some of the attractions to Shepparton, so we waited until Dinner which is why we are both confident it was the Chinese.

I highly recommend a governing body to perform an inspection for food cleanliness & the food that is being served. The chicken was undercooked, which realistically we should’ve stopped eating there and then however we assumed they were made from thighs and this can sometimes have a pinkish colour. The rice was raw.

The honey chicken tasted like cinnamon battered chicken with a thick sauce that was engulfing a lemon.

It’s not the waiters fault, but solely the manager for allowing this to be an occurrence as I’ve gone through some reviews and seen others complain of similar instances.

I truly hope you rectify these issues and nobody else experiences...

Very poor experience. Do NOT get fooled by the 5 star ratings given to the place.

I visited the place last night with my family at 8pm and we were treated with such haste that midway the waitress took away my plate along with an empty dish without even asking me.. Like What????

Very poor service and attitude by the staff.!! On checkout i told the lady what i experiened and her response made me realise that she didnt care cos people will come there because of lack of options in that area.

We ordered the fried rice, chowmein noodles and a dish of prawns with some soup. Very average in taste.

Definitely NOT coming back. NOT Recommend...!!

Not really sure it's worth 3 stars but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. It's been here and operated by the same family for a very long time, I'd suggest that possibly they are getting a bit tired. My wife and I had very different main meals and both were quite tasty and reasonable size although I thought a little bit expensive. But what killed the whole deal was that I knew my meal was just duck, no trimmings, so I bought a plate of rice. No exaggeration, it was the worst rice I've ever had. 60% was hard! Just terrible. Drinks were exorbatant as well. Won't...
