B Love - Diner BBQ & Burgers — Restaurant in Victoria

Dearest readers, I have had a profound experience and it is called BarcaLove. Let me explain, as you enter, you are greeted by an old style brick restaurant, with many multi coloured chairs for you posterior to sit. And let me tell you, these seats are sooo cute. Buuuut, the truly most fantastic aspect of entering BarcaLove, is the service, oh my gosh the service is like nothing I have ever experienced. I was greeted by a wonderful server, whom made me feel sooo welcome, with huge smiles, and a vivacious personalit. I would go back again and again just for the customer service. As I and my fellow diners sat down, the server came to us and with the gretast of pasion and joy, spoke to us off the specials for the day. I was flawed. I had never had such service, I felt so special.

However all the above being said, let us speak of the star of the show, the food. I myself had a Philly Cheese Steak, the American-ness of the meal intrigued me. LoL's The food was brought to out table in what seemed mere moments, and the wait was still excruciating for the smells of smoked meats is intoxicating. My pic below is the hot dog shaped one. The others are what my friends ate.

I could go on and on my dear readers, and speak of the first bite, as the gooey cheesy, smokey explosion overwhelms your senses, and the seasoned chips, compliment wonderfully. All the while the wonderful team at BarcaLobve make you feel as welcome as family. 10/10, two 👍👍way up. BarcaLove, do yourself the favour.

My husband and I came here last night to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary.

The restaurant decor was very nice, and I liked that there was American sport on the TV.

The waitress who served us was very kind, and we appreciated her looking after us.

Now, let's get down to the part we've all been waiting for... The food!

The food we got was out of this world! We ordered pork ribs, loaded brisket fries, loaded potato cakes, a pork po boy and The Big Bertha.

Absolutely mouth watering and extremely tasty! Would definitely reorder those ribs.

We come from Albury, but we will definitely make an effort to come back because the food is THAT good!

We ordered 2 cocktails and a apple cider as well. They were all very nice, and I definitely want to try the rest of the cocktails on the menu sometime.

Location is really small. Hoped it would be bigger than Barca love but it's actually SMALLER! Also, the wait time was approx 45 min for a simple burger and fries which is kinda ridiculous for a week day.

The burgers are on par with previous Barca love, the portions are good too which is a big plus.

Overall it's a cute gimmick but if you're going to do a 50s diner, consider going all the way. I was here for 2 hours and the earliest song was late 60s, Where's the jukebox? Where's the wait staff? Why is it a zoomer cashier with an air pod in instead of someone who fits the 50s vibe? Give them the paper hat, we don't ask much.

As always Aussies come close, but no cigar to a real American diner style restaurant. In future, owners should take a trip to the states to see what they're going for first hand.

Also, the fries don't taste the same as Barca love....
