Super disappointed with our experience here. We would not recommend Morgan's, nor do we wish to be back. We ordered our meal + drinks via QR code... a few minutes into having ordered we were informed by the wait staff that they couldn't do coffee because they shut off the machine. My partner chose another drink to which he offered to pay the difference. They said they'd cover it. Several minutes after, the same wait staff came out and said that they couldn't do Sweet Potato Fries either and that they'd do normal fries. A decision she made on our behalf without consulting us/trying to come to a resolution, given we had paid $3 extra for the sweet potato. We didn't have time to question it either as she hurriedly left. We then waited for 30 minutes+ for our food to arrive. What was irritating is that the wait/kitchen staffed laughed loudly the whole time we were waiting, and were clearly in no hurry. We had arrived 1.5 hours before closing, and it wasn't busy either so there's little excuse for the poor service. Both my partner and I left feeling really ripped off. We paid $24.50 ea burger (over $60 for the meal itself). You'd expect the burgers to be pretty stellar at that price, but they were honestly the most disappointing and expensive burgers we've eaten in Melbourne to date (my partner has lived here for 8+ years too which is saying something! The patties tasted like the cheap frozen patties you get from the frozen section at the supermarket and they skipped the pickles on my burger entirely. Why I can only assume is because the staff were too busy enjoying their time, or because they ran out of those too. Had the burger been $15 (as the quality was literally of that price point ) and the waitress been less rude / slightly more accommodating, maybe id have considered...
Read moreThe food is presented very well but the burger patty certainly doesn’t match the look. I was so excited for the burger, but WOW it was bad! - Imagine using a supermarket patty in a Gourmet style American burger in a restaurant and then overcooking it… Also, why are the patty’s only chargrilled on one side? And why could I not smell a grill? My guess is that thing was pre cooked and microwaved straight from a box. No word of a lie, I’d rather go to Macca’s and spend $26 on 2 of their real Big Mac’s… The bun was soft as and toasted, the cheese was legit, pickles fresh and crunchy, even the “Big Mac sauce” tasted bang on. Burger was constructed perfectly and everything. However, you could actually run next door to the IGA, buy a pack of minced Beef, roll it in a ball, throw it on pan and squash it amd you’d have a 10x better meat patty for a burger that the filth they served at this joint… Mrs said the chicken in her salad was like a boot too. However, Staff were friendly and place was nice enough. Onion rings and chips were nice. But makes total sense why there were only a couple of tables at 6pm on a...
Read moreI went there with my family at 6pm and there was a live band playing which was nice but way too loud. I couldn't order my food without yelling at my waitress or have a convo with a person sitting right next to me due to how loud it was. I mentioned it to my waitress and she replied with "no one else seems to mind" haha My daughter also found a piece of plastic in her burger, I mentioned it to the same waitress thinking she would have mentioned it to someone in charge but nothing was said. When I went to pay and the gentleman behind the counter asked how everything was, I told him food was very nice and mentioned the plastic to his surprise he knew nothing about it and apologise many times. He also tried to offered some kind of reimbursement but I had already paid. Now, I will say our food was nice, I'm just hoping my waitress was just having...
