Good food, great prices, fast for takeaway. Man was friendly, allowed me to check the menu quickly for me to order a really good Beef Pad Thai for $18. Good value when comparing with surrounding Cafés where one was asking $8 for a fresh pie and another Café was asking for $20 for kebab wraps with chips. These guys are good value and good hearty food with proper meat and veg with style.

Score : Food - 5/10 Service - 6/10 Ambience - 8/10 Have you ever been to a Restaurant, they served the dish (Vegetables Tofu), and you feedback to them that the Tofu tasted “Sourish and bad”, and their response was “Oh, our Tofu are fast moving and we made them freshly everyday.” That is not the proper response. We ended up with a tofu which is inedible.

Lovely meal & staff. We sat right up the front of the restaurant by the window, it was pretty looking out onto the street with the fairy lights. Staff were all very pleasant, our meals came out quickly & were very good

I don't get why people are giving bad review for this place. We look up the place online and so many bad review saying "the worst food". Turns out the food are decent! We ordered few dishes: Salt & pepper chicken They gave decent quantity, flavourful chicken and flavouring. They use capsicum instead of chilli, so kid friendly.

Japanese tofu & seafood claypot The tofu dish is great with thick garlic sauce. Prawn was plumpy and well cooked

Chinese sausage fried rice Again, very flavourful without being very overwhelming. A bit of wok-hei would be amazing.

downside is that they only employ 1 staff, which seems abit overwhelmed (despite doing a great job 👍)

Food came out less than 10 min after order.

Don't care about the decoration and service as long as the food is great and fast.

Deserve...

Six of us, on a day visit to Ballarat on Thursday 19-10-2023 went here for lunch at 2pm and was told that they were closed. When we pointed out the 2:30 closing time on the door, he changed his mind and let us in. Biggest mistake!! We ordered Beef Rendang, Red Chicken curry, Fried rice and steamed rice. The so called Rendang was green and the beef was boiled separately and added, so the gravy was not absorbed into the beef and was tasteless and tough. The Chicken was rubbery. The fried rice was an insult to any decent Chinese, it was a very small serve of steamed rice with a few vegetables tossed in and some shrimps were sprinkled in the middle. Looking at the Menu online, there is no Beef Rendang, yet that is what we ordered. Stay away...

I'll admit I have only had one dish from Mr Rice. A T/A "Special" Fried Rice. Very disappointed! I requested pork & no, it has ham & shrimp.2 huge chunks of celery & 2 chunks of carrot. About 5 chunks of warmed onion the size of a 20c piece. Rice was as white as snow & not fried either. Generally you order out as a "treat". I should've just bought another Green Curry Chicken Pie from Kings Bakery or made it myself. I'd say there is or should be a position going in their kitchen & you don't even have to be able to cook! (Rice anyway). Service was lovely though. Hopefully this guy in the kitchen is not their usual. It was AU public holiday @ midday after all. And good staff are...
