Returning to my home town for Christmas from Sydney I thought it might be nice to stop here with my family for refreshment after a long bike ride. After waiting approximately 15minutes for service and completing the Covid Check-in procedure on the table we were wondering what was taking so long noting the staff were walking past our table regularly but not communicating with us. Not sure if we needed to go in and order or not I approached the counter and was asked rather abruptly to show my Check-in and vaccination certificate. I noted to the barista (potentially manager) that I was happy to do so but it would take me a little longer noting I was not used to the Service Victoria app and my vaccination certificate was not linked (I had a screenshot however). After producing this he asked for the Vac Cert for the rest of my family outside of which I said that I had a 4 and 8 year old that did not have this, but he insisted that I go and get my wife to prove this. Why the hell they couldn't have done this in the 15 minute wait time I do not know. Heading outside he remarked "You should know that if you read the procedure on the table". Not saying anything more after heading back outside I said to my family that we would be leaving and get breakfast elsewhere. As they were getting back on their bikes I decided it best to tell the barista/manager that we were leaving due to this less than suitable service as paying customers. He simply said "Well have a good day then". Pathetic attitude from this individual and we will never return. I recommend going to the Shepparton Art Museum (SAM) Cafe as the service at that establishment is far, far better.
(Post Owner reply edit to original post) Noting that you expect your customers to go to a table to sign in and seek this advice from your establishment are we meant to stand at the table once we have read it or wait out front on the pavement? This is unclear, but I am sure your staff (two of them) noted us walking in and did not bother to offer a greeting or advice to assist us with meeting your establishments requirements prior to us sitting down to understand what these were. Service industry is anything but these days, but when you find a great place it is definitely worth returning again and again. I won't be calling as you suggested, and I won't...
Read moreVery disappointing customer service from two staff members, one being the owner. We ordered approx 10 drinks takeaway. Two were accidently forgotten to which my mum politely let the owner know they had been forgotten. One of the staff members said she had not paid for them to wish she nicely said she had ordered & paid. The owner then raised his voice and made an issue from nothing. He clearly didn’t like the fact that he had forgotten to make them and was told we were missing two drinks. My mum was then trying to be polite as he was making them & said how was your Christmas to which he replied “well it was good I didn’t have to put up with people, rude people”. Later on when mum received the coffees mum said thanks enjoy the rest of your day to which he replied “I will now”. As we walked out he spoke poorly about her to another staff member saying he had to raise my voice she just didn’t understood, meanwhile the whole time mum was trying to be polite and make conversation. Why be in a customer service role, if you hate it so much and dealing with people? Another staff member came up to my young daughter (3) and told her to stop pulling open the drawer with serviettes in it and pushed it closed, which could have easily got her fingers caught in it. She wasn’t causing an issue at all & was not in anyone’s way. If it was an issue why couldn’t she politely ask me if she could please stop opening the drawer? Rather than being so rude, she is 3! I couldn’t believe that two staff could be so rude. Very disappointing. Won’t be going back again after...
Read moreThe most rudest and obnoxious two staff members I have ever come across. The food may be good, but we didn’t get the chance to experiencing it. Let me give a bit of context to my above statement. 9 of us walked in to have breakfast. We were shown to a table outside, with a bit of difficulty the table could only sit 8. The person who showed us to the table was one of the two I mentioned. Because the two tables were covering a fire hydrant and no leg space at all. My friend asked the waitress whether we could move to another table. The response was a abrupt “No” saying other tables were booked. While waiting for our drink order there was another family walked in straight from the street and settled them self at one of those tables. So my friend decided to ask another waitress to swap tables who was very kind enough to arrange it for us so that all 9 of us could sit comfortably to have BF. The whole group started moving to the new table. The waitress who told us we could swap came out saying that we couldn’t take an extra chair from the other table. By that time my friend was very annoyed with the organization. Then we decided to leave. As we were walking out from the restaurant my friend took a photo of the restaurant to put a review. Then comes the other rude person without knowing the full length of the incident started to accuse my friend being rude to his staff. He was so unprofessional the way he carried on provoking the situation rather than wanting to...
