Traralgon Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Victoria

Our experience here was not a positive one, firstly I would question this restaurants business practices, they are nothing short of dodgy. They never showed us our bill only told us the final amount. Upon leaving and arriving home and calculating the prices we realised we were overcharged, we messaged the owner and were ignored, after more messages we eventually got a response saying we ordered a ”large” Tom Yum Talay which happened to be ”double the price”, yet it isn't even listed on the menu, there is only one size, and we didnt even ask for it to be "upsized”. As for the service we ordered 2 mains, which came out 15 mins apart, my wife had almost finished hers before mine arrived. Meals were rather bland and nothing close to traditional Thai cuisine. Couldn't recommend this to anyone, however if you are unlucky enough to eat there make sure to ask to see the itemised bill before paying. There just may be a few upsizes and extras you...

Last minute booking for a Saturday night.

Service was phenomenal from the start, with a largish group, they took orders individually so that we could split the bill if we wanted (which was unexpected and very welcome)

Food was delicious, we ordered the Banquet for most of our group, and adjusting some menu items for our solitary vegan was not a problem for any of the staff. The satay sauce and the chicken fried rice deserve an extra star.

The drinks menu was extensive for a local Thai restaurant including very reasonably priced cocktails and their cocktail waiter was brilliant.

Only lost a star as the place was a little noisy, and was hard to hear some of the conversation down the table, but probably only something to consider if you have hearing aids, or struggle with background noise (and could probably be avoided by requesting a corner table)

Called 2 days in advance to make a dinner reservation for 2. They told us they could have us in at 7.30. We walk in at 7.26pm and they asked us to wait in our car until 7.30 as there were too many people inside at that point (fair enough, we thought, due to covid regulations). When we sat in the car 2 women walked in, about 40 seconds after we walked out and they were seated! No one had left the restaurant, so why let 2 in when we were just told there were too many people. 2 minutes later 6 people walk out and it's now 7.30. We walk back in, again, told that there were too many people, I asked why she seated those 2 women and 6 had just left. This time she gave us the opportunity to wait inside. No apologies were given, we waited another 2 minutes and were disgusted with the situation, we left and had a tasty, fresh meal at Shnitz. We won't be coming back to...
