WAAACKS Bakery, nestled right in the heart of town, is a gem that truly captures the spirit of Horsham. Their claim to fame is their award-winning vanilla slice, and let me tell you, it's one for the books. The slice is delicious, with a perfect balance of creamy custard and flaky pastry. Some might say it's a bit on the sweet side, but in a way that only makes it all the more indulgent. Whether this vanilla slice is the best in Australia is up for debate, but it certainly holds its own among the country's finest. Each one might be the best, depending on where you’re standing that day! The icing on top of the slice is where WAAACKS throws in a bit of a curveball—it's so firm that it almost reminds you of a bathroom tile. Yet somehow, even this works in their favor, adding a satisfying crunch to each bite. One of the charming aspects of WAAACKS is its clientele, who seem as delightfully old-fashioned as the menu itself. There's a comforting nostalgia in the air, making you feel like you've stepped back in time, which is surprisingly refreshing in today’s fast-paced world. As Horsham evolves, I'm excited to see how the town embraces new developments. Medium and high-density housing could do wonders for this place, bringing in a fresh wave of energy while preserving its unique charm. And if the town had a bar like the Velvet Fedora, it would be the perfect complement to the local scene. All in all, WAAACKS Bakery is a must-visit—four stars well-deserved!

The person that made our coffees keep her, delicious!!! Now, you need to send the baker to NZ to eat some pies. I know I know us kiwis harp on about how good our pies are BUT, even our petrol station pies are better. For the ultimate experience go to Patrick’s pies in NZ and try one of those. You’ll start crying…….honestly. Take care love your town! Ps - your steak pie is called a mince pie in nz. Ok I’ll shut up now!

Very nice little place for morning hustlers Good coffee , very nice sausage rolls and don’t forget to try one of best vanilla slices you ever had Two young ladies this morning (02/04/2021) Were exceptional. Great service . right at the point of serving me they very professional handled some rude customers who did not quite understand the concept of manners. Wish you guys all the best! Keep it up!

Bakery only had takeaway paper bags and cups, no plates or mugs at all. At the front there is a sign saying " Bacon and Egg Roll until 11" we entered and wanted to get one and it wasn't even 10:20 yet and they said " no sorry you are to late" making them seem really lazy. They also have all these awards I ut the front from around 7-10 years ago and obviously aren't still the same. The awards were for best bread, pies, and vanilla slices in Australia. This might have been true 10 years ago but not any more. It is almost as if they have swapped owners and recipes as the food wasn't that good at all. Friendly staff. No toilets....

Disappointing...between the 4 of us, all things ordered were horrible, won't be returning. Think they need someone with more experience to be in charge of the food products and quality control. This place is really needs to lift their game if they want to stay in business. Breakfast till 11am on the sign out side, inside they tell you 1030. Weren't prepared to cook anything fresh. Quality of the Vanilla slice just wasn't there. Reheated food wasn't done properly. Had rubberised hard egg and gristle yuck!!! Sorry but don't reccomend at this...
