Zambrero Traralgon — Restaurant in Victoria

UPDATED REVIEW (04-MAY-2025): Was convinced to return as family requested.

fast and friendly service, staff were polite and attentive. No line upon arrival, however a very short wait (less than a minute) as online orders were being made. Food was fresh and service was prompt, although I did have to ask more than once for an appropriate amount of food items to be added as portioning was very minimal for some items (lettuce for example).

Very glad to see the service and quality has returned.

ORIGINAL REVIEW (2Star): Excessively long wait, staff standing around not showing initiative or getting food ready. Had four people on the service line and no one was making food for the long line that was here. Staff were inattentive, showed no initiative, manager nowhere to be seen.

At one point there were four people standing around talking amongst themselves with a line of more than 10 people waiting.

For a long returning customer this was very disappointing, unlikely to return.

As is usual with Zambrero, all the ingredients you select for your meal are right there for you to see clearly. The reason to be this transparent with your clients is to make us anticipate and look forward to eating your freshly hand-built healthy meal. BUT here, it all looks like a total mess, looks very untidy and does not look like the staff care about they way they present their store... this all results in a very unappealing experience for eating. The stainless steel tub holding the beans looked extremely dried out and crunchy around the edges. The cooked rice I was served also looked old, mashed and dried out. The lettuce looked wet and wilted. When compared to other Zambrero stores, nothing here tasted as fresh as Im used to from their other stores. I usually look out for Zambrero stores when I'm on the road because the food is healthy and is easily adaptable for my dietary requirements, but this store is the most unappealing Zambrero store I've...
