During COVID, the setup was rearranged and looks clean and uncluttered - minimalism at its best - very COVID safe. I dined here a few times while staying in Warrnambool. I was informed that they just changed their menu, and any feedback was appreciated.

The Chefs Johnny and Bryce, accompanied by apprentice chef Mario will surprise you with their plating, food combinations and tasty selections.

The entrees/firsts/starters - were enough to keep me pleasantly happy for most of my stay. Prices varied from $10 - $16, which is very reasonable; servings are on the generous side.

Recommendations: [Favs - 2, 4 & 6] Garlic Cheese Sourdough - reminded me of a toastie. It goes great with beer! Charcuterie Board - not boring, or same as others you receive - the beetroot chutney and chicken pate were the standouts. The cured meats - some not to my liking, but overall nice. The dried fruits went well with the chutney and dip - especially the apple. Lamb Cutlets - interesting, modern presentation, with roasted cherry tomatoes, minted yoghurt and dukkah. Cutlets cooked to perfection. Stuffed Mushrooms - yummy goodness - beetroot chutney, roasted pumpkin, garlic, pine nuts, thyme and spinach. [Perfect meal the night before driving long distances - not heavy]. Bao Buns - soft buns, not dry, thinly sliced pork belly [easier to bite], sticky sauce and amply dressed slaw - went well with the mushrooms [no.4] and a beer. Seared Scallops - tried as a main, but this version was better - sweet potato mash, asparagus spears with small pieces of crunchy onion, feta and lime dressing. This was so tasty and my meal of the Warrnambool trip.

Honourable mentions - the pannacotta - give it it a try - perfect wobble accompanied with cream, but not sure about the sugar shard...Flavours change - be surprised! The churros were good, but the pannacotta was better.

Book a table [highly recommended, as they were booked out when I was there] and try and get the window seat to watch the incredible sunsets. It is one of the best 'on-the-road dining experiences I have had in...

10/10 great food, friendly staff, good atmosphere. Upon arrival the interaction with staff was a little awkward (we were majorly underdressed as we just came back from beach) We ordered a Shiraz (clay-something from the Grampians, can’t remember the name, beautiful flavours) trio dip, Mexican bowl and rare rib eye steak. The capsicum and garlic hummus stood out the most to us with the dips, very balanced flavours, the garlic was a little strong but perfect for garlic lovers. The steak flavours were perfect, Smokey flavour, moist meat and the only constructive criticism I have is the meat was a little over cooked for rare. The Mexican bowl perfectly incorporated all of the spices especially with the dip on the side. The atmosphere was a perfect balance between relaxed casual and something more fancy, gives off that family run, classic Aussie vibe while also keeping it professional, keeping customers feeling relaxed and well looked after. if we’re ever around the area we’ll definitely be dropping by again. Thanks for...

From entering the venue through the automatic door, and the jovial Receptionist who directed us through to the Restaurant, every aspect of the evening was spot on. The open fire was roaring, the tables spaced well apart, and the serving staff service was second to none. I had the cream of tomato soup (it was legendary) and my Husband had the Hawaiian Curry (delicious!). Of particular note was Ebony (one of the server's), I saw how she engaged with 2 senior ladies in the kindest way possible, and her and her male colleague tweaked their meal size to suit. Every boss must dream of having staff that in their absence, show absolute dedication to customer service. Thank you everyone from the front door to the kitchen for a...

Good food, friendly staff, nice environment, everything seemed led to a beautiful night, until in the end there came an unexpected surprise. We ordered an kids meal, it should come with an fruit salad and soft drink. We had waited and waited but couldn't see the salad coming. When Ask the waitress. she advise there's no such thing. So we went on to pay the bill. we then found the soft drink had been charged separately and got confirmed there should be fruit salad. In the end the bill has been revised. But we had a big question Mark rising in mind--we found it difficult to render this an absent-minded mistake. and maybe because we are tourist and perticularlly Asian tourist?
