Parker's Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Warrnambool

Hugely disappointed and appalled by the standard and quality of their food tonight!!

Your Google reviews are at most misleading! To be fair, it should be at maxed 3-3.5 star only.

Battered fish: it was tasteless and covered in such a thick layer of battered. Grilled fish: must’ve been done by a very inexperienced staff. The fish was tasteless still and found in shattered pieces and its coating was at large completely off the fish if not at all. Scallops: thick layer of battered and not so fresh scallops. 4: prawns: just prawn meshed not the whole prawn piece. 5: hot dog/ sausage: missing from our order 7: Loaded chips: this was by far the worst. We did not expect to find three big pieces of bacon as opposed to our usual shredded ones from other fish and chips. We also did not expect to see a blob of melted cheese concentrated in the middle of the tray with super super salty condensed gravy on top of it. The remaining chips were then further covered with loads and loads of salts. I pray for my poor kidney and had no choice but to dump it at the end. Please consider changing the name of this dish to ‘loaded salt’ so that your further customer would know that they are in fact ordering chips with minimum 1/2 bottle of salt as a give away.

Overall, we must said, the way your staff handled and prepared food is a waste to those food! Would definitely not be coming back in the short term and not recommended to any tourist coming to this beautiful coastal town.

Last but not the least, what a shame and disappointment to the hard earned legacies the previous...

We stayed overnight in Warrnambool recently and after a little online review stalking, we decided we would go to the highly recommended Parker's for our fish and chip dinner by the beach.

We weren't fans of the beach (way too windy at that time) but we were super fans of the fish and chips!! The portions were super generous, all of the food was piping hot, not oily at all, the fresh flake was delicious and we were both fans of the chicken salt 🤤👌🏻

The turn around time from ordering on the phone to picking out food was super fast and the staff were so incredibly friendly!

Highly recommend if you're in the area and are wanting some fish and chips! We'll definitely...

Good value. Ordered 1 scallop, 1 calamari, 1 butterfish, 1 barramundi, 1 small chips and a tartar sauce for two people. Fries were a bit inconsistent - some were good but some were not crispy. Also, small fries is a huge amount for 2 people unless you're eating only fries - I would say it's about 4 times the portion of McDonald's medium fries. I recommend the butterfish but not the calamari (calamari is too mushy and overfried). The batter on the fish gets soggy fast so eat it hot. Do note the surcharge for credit card payments.
