Upon arrival the service was warm, welcoming, helpful and efficient.

The restaurant atmosphere is refined, classy and understated. Very comfortable and lends a sense of occassion without feeling stuffy or overly formal.

The menu offered a good variety of dishes without being excessive.

The wine list was excellent and complimented the dishes very well.

There was a good range of cocktails, beers, ciders and other mixed drinks available from the bar.

My entree of pan seared scallops was fresh and appetizing

The lamb backstrap I had for main was also perfectly prepared and presented in a well sized portion and was truly one of the best main meals I have had in the last 10 years ( as long as I can remember )

The dessert and coffee to follow did not fail to meet the high expectation of the rest of the meal.

I left, perfectly satisfied and vowing to return. The chef deserves significant recognition for what he has created and achieved with this restaurant, Salt. It is bound for great success and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to solo diners, couples out on date night, catch up with friends or family gatherings - this restaurant has it all.

My husband and I went here on the weekend for a last minute anniversary celebration and couldn't be more pleased. The food was absolutely stunning and was great value. We ordered the 3 snacks, main and dessert deal which allowed us to try every single snack on the menu between the two of us - yay!!!! Then we shared the Gnocchi and Barramundi followed by two stunning desserts. The menu apparently changes and I can honestly say that it wouldn't matter what was being served on the day, you wouldn't be disappointed. We would have no hesitation ordering anything off their menu because every single thing was delicious with gorgeous fresh produce and mouth watering flavour. We also ordered a few cocktails and wine - all just yum yum yummy! The service was also amazing - the girls were all really attentive, but not over the top. It was a relaxed and laid back atmosphere that you would feel comfortable coming in if you were either dressed up for a night out or simply jeans and a t-shirt. We were accommodated into this restaurant at late notice (thanks) under the recommendation of a family friend – OH MY GOODNESS is all we have to say. We were welcomed by beautiful staff, who were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and wines. Without any expectations, we we’re blown away with all our choices of food, wine and dessert! We immediately noticed all our meals presented to a very high standard, fresh ingredients, beautiful textures and left us wanting more and more! Scrumptious “snacks”, to die for bread with their own special butter, chicken and meats cooked beautifully and exquisitely cooked vegetables. The wine was divine, and as for the dessert, Poached Apple of sorts for my partner and Dark Chocolate Mousse for me, left our tastebuds exhausted and dazed! It may be a big call, but for me, easily 5 star – I would/could easily drive the 300+kms from Melbourne just for dinner to do this all over!
