Miss Maud Warwick — Restaurant in Warwick

Today we attended for a lunch for my wife’s birthday. This time, following my query about wait times to the manager, the food came in about 10 minutes. We ordered two crab sandwiches, one with potato and one beetroot salad. When the food arrived the one set of cutlery had food dried on it. The salads had been more or less tipped onto the plates and smeared on the edge of the plates. A small piece of lettuce was on the side of each which were not fresh and appeared brown and unclean. We had to leave the lettuce. The bread rounds were dry and not toasted; the crab ‘seafood mix’ had no visible seafood or crab in it and poorly served up It appeared to be egg mayonnaise and did not taste very nice. My wife went to complain to the manager who became very defensive and said the ‘Çrab was caught that morning!’ Our two coffees arrived sometime later, and the table behind us had to complain to the waitress that they had arrived before us and still did not have their coffee.

Following our disappointment and feedback to customer service, we received a voucher for lunch at the Warwick restaurant to try again. We were very pleasantly surprised as the crab sandwich was exactly as it should be and my wife was delighted with the plain sandwich choice she had made. The food was delivered quickly and drinks were great. The problems seem to have been remedied. The current staff problems being experienced by all stores is acknowledged and we wish Miss Maud best...

I never write negative reviews however the food standards I received today were absolutely atrocious. Two stars as the ice coffee was fine! People complaining about takeaway pricing and dining in need to get a life!

I purchased the club sandwich with a side of chips. The club sandwich was the most pathetically expensive and underwhelming item I have ever purchased in my life. No exaggeration, the TRUTH! Imagine this, Three slices of white bread. The smallest, very pink - undercooked schnitzel/patty was on that layer with no sauce just dry and on its own. Another layer of bread a squirt of mayo, a few shreds of salad and the top of the sandwich which is the only toasted part. I don’t know how you can stuff up chips but they were awful. Change your oil. The wait staff were absolutely lovely. She instantly took away the sandwich when she could see it was undercooked and had it remade.

I didn’t think this could ever be possible when someone is rectifying a mistake. It came back worse. The patty was grey on the outside. Completely rock hard. I have never experienced such horrible food, well ever! Zero pride in what is being served. What a disappointment to an establishment I have been going to since I was a little girl.

I am currently sitting at Miss Mauds in Warwick feeling I have wasted $27. The service at the counter the young man was pleasant and got my order correct. I did also get my drink quickly. Where the entire meal was let down was the sub par cold food. I watched as my food sat under the service lights for over 5 mins with at least 6 people walking past and not doing anything. By the time I got my food the waitress did say sorry for the wait, but when I Pointed out it was sitting at the counter waiting to be delivered to me for over 5 mins she just ignored me and walked away. I received no napkin and no cutlery. While I ate a little of my meal, I watched as another meal sat at the service counter for about 8 mins and in this time I countered 10 people who walked past the food and not stopping to deliver it. Also a staff member stood right there next to it and washed dishes 🤔. Another cold meal delivered 'well done Miss Mauds' service that is consistent. I would like to point out the place was not busy and there was plenty of staff on so a staff member could stand and chat to friends. I am not sure I will be back. Walking away...
