NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING

I’ve been buying cakes from here for over 10 years, usually four or more each year. The quality and service have always been excellent, which is why I’ve kept coming back.

This year, however, things went a little wrong. I had ordered a cake for my daughter’s 16th birthday, wanting something elegant and special. When my husband brought it to the venue, I was shocked to see it wasn’t what I had ordered at all, it looked more like a christening cake. With guests arriving, I was upset and close to tears.

I called, not really expecting much could be done, but to my surprise the lady who answered stayed calm while I was falling apart. She immediately suggested coming to the venue to fix it. To my amazement, she arrived within half an hour with all her decorating tools and transformed the cake into exactly what I had imagined.

The result was beautiful and truly made the day. I’m so grateful for the way the situation was handled, it turned what started as a disaster into one of the most memorable parts of the celebration. The only photos I got of the party was of my daughter blowing out her candles, so when I look at that photo I will always have the memories of a error made right by a lovely lady, who’s name I was too frazzled to get.

So from the bottom of my heart Kristy Kob thank you for fixing my cake. I will continue to order all my cakes from you, and in future I will pick up the cake myself. You are all so amazing and the cakes...

Some neighbours have always raved about the cakes so I finally got one for my sons 8th birthday. The spiderman cake is usually in the cabinet but I ordered it just incase it was sold out. I picked it up the night before. The Cake was so moist still, tasted amazing and a great size and price ($55). We had 6 adults and 4 kids. I was alot happier with this cake than his last birthday professional home baker. My only complaint was the red colouring in the icing was so strong it stained my hands, our faces and one spot where it was dropped on clothes. I wouldn't recommend this exact cake with the red for young, messy eaters for any clean up. I'll be back for cakes in other colours though and would have no hesitation with any of the other cakes on display. (And it is unlikely that my son would want the exact same design on a cake again so not going to...

Ordered a cake for my son's birthday last week. Chose coffee icing and a sponge cake with custard. I said I definitely didn't want the cake to be sickly. She said "No, is very delicious". It was disgusting! Topping was deep, white mock cream. Didn't comment as assumed the cake would be ok. I think the cake was Black Forest (one of their choices that I didn't choose) but there was thick cream throughout the whole cake as well as the sickly cream topping. One of the guests threw up shortly after arriving home as the cream was too much combined with the cream in her main course. A friend had the same cake given to her for her hubby's birthday.
