We recently had the pleasure of dining at Grabs Restaurant in Mount Lawley, and I can confidently say it was an enjoyable experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was well thought out, making for a truly enjoyable night.
Parking in Mount Lawley can sometimes be tricky, but Grabs is conveniently located near several parking areas, making it easy to find a spot. The restaurant itself is also very accessible, with a welcoming and well-laid-out space that accommodates all guests comfortably.
The highlight, of course, was the seafood. The seafood boil was absolutely delicious, packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients and bursting with flavour. The signature sauces were a standout, perfectly complementing the seafood without overpowering it. We also tried the lobster pasta, which was rich, creamy, and cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were generous, making it great value for money.
The atmosphere at Grabs is lively and fun, making it an ideal spot for groups, families, or even a casual date night. The staff were friendly, attentive, and more than happy to recommend dishes based on our preferences.
One of the most unique and enjoyable aspects of our visit was the camera they provide to customers. It’s a fun idea – you get to snap candid moments throughout your meal, and the shots are shared on their social media. It really adds to the interactive and welcoming vibe of the restaurant.

Read moreThis would have to be one of the least pleasant experiences I have had at a restaurant. Service was atrocious and slow and a complete lack of training was evident in the wait staff. The yabbies and crawfish that I ordered were bland and tasteless to say the least. I would say plain tofu had more flavor, the Special Cajun sauce was not special. Someone needs to go to New Orleans to find out what Cajun means. For the 8 people at my table the time difference between the fresh water combos and the salmon being serve was 20 minutes. The manager on the night tried to explain the problems and even gave us 1 bowl of chips to appease the 3 diners who had ordered chips with their meal.Apparently that bowl was on the house and we would have to pay for extra although the chips were ordered with the meal. I waited 15 minutes for a 2 scoops of ice cream, only because a staff member had to go to the local supermarket to buy a tub of ice cream. When I had to ask where my 2 scoops were they started to bring over a partially melted bowl with ice cream dripping down one side. I refused this, we were given our bill before we were served our deserts. I normally don't do a review of the restaurants we go to however this was...
Read moreWe live only minutes away from Grabs, so decided to get take away for an occasion I'm not sure if I got them on an off night or if they've changed. We ordered the fishermen basket, kids garlic prawns, fried chicken, lobster pasta and 1/2 doz grilled oysters. Oysters were ok. Small and just ok, wouldn't re-order. Fried chicken was the stand out, was really nice. Lobster pasta was nice but it only had like a 1/4 of a tails worth of meat in it.. I just think if you're going to call it a lobster pasta it should at least have more than 2 bites worth in it. Kids portion was on the pricey side and prawns over cooked. Fishermen basket was a huge let down. The it was just not worth the $71, note that price has gone up, I got the garlic butter: it was like jars ofvminced garlic were thrown in melted butter and oil without any Seasoning, flavour.. nothing. Prawns and half a bug tail was over cooked. Since then I went through the reviews on here, I noted that only months ago it was a bit cheaper and they put a whole bug tail in. Now it's gone up in price and half a tail in it. A bit ridiculous honestly! I'd only give it one star and not zero because of the chicken. I wish I had saved my money and just gotten a...
