On Mad Monday, my Mother went to collect the 2 for 1 burger offer and take it home, which I had been able to do in the past. I understand it is a dine in only offer but as Iâd previously attended (on crutches and bandaged at the time), they allowed me to take it away. On this day, my Mum called me to let me know they wonât allow the burgers to be taken away. This isnât the reason for my complaint. My complaint was the appalling service from who was apparently the manager. I am now disabled and require a wheelchair, and my mother is elderly and simply wouldnât be able to get me and the chair and load us in and out. I heard the conversation between Mum (a sweet, polite elderly lady) and the manager. I told Mum to leave because I was so upset at how she was being spoken to. Then, mid conversation, the manager walked away from her. Mum got off the phone and came over shortly after. She told me she ended up pretending she was going to dine in and then ask for boxes to take away. She was upset at how she was spoken to. She told me the other staff seemed to be embarrassed by how the Manager handled it.
The reason for my complaint is that I provided this feedback via their website, and I received a brief response from âRyanâ stating âOur Mad Monday offer is dine in only and much consideration was taken into deciding this promotionâ. He did not apologise for the service, or address it at all.
Iâve since read from employees online that Grillâd are exploitative which doesnât surprise me. It seems something is really off, here. They present themselves as a company that help the community. Regardless of my physical disability, acknowledging what I said in my email would be the decent thing to do, not to mention you are in a service industry.

I ordered takeaway; A HFC BLAT, a Mighty Ash for my girlfriend, and a nice little tub of tomato relish to go with my share portion of sweet potato chips (which I, in fact, did not share) I was thrilled when my name was called to come and collect my food. I grabbed the bag with delight and went back to my car. On the drive home I was filled with delight, I could not wait to get stuck in to my meal when I got home. Once I got home, I kicked off my shoes and got situated on the lounge (a great place to enjoy a takeaway meal) I opened the bag with my food inside and was horrified⊠no tomato relish!! âI should have checked before leavingâ I thought to myself, shaking my head. âWell at least the sauce was freeâ said my girlfriend, trying to console me. âThe sauce cost me $1.20â I replied before falling to the floor crying. I picked myself up off the floor and opened my phone. Through tears I found and typed the number for Grillâd Innaloo.
Basically on the phone they told me I had to come back in THAT NIGHT, if I wanted a refund. But why inconvenience me even more, by making me come back in, than you already have by forgetting my yummy relish?
I want my $1.20, preferably all in 5c coins if possible (they are the coolest coins)

I went with my wife on Wednesday night and it was quite busy, I could see in all staff face, panic, clearly there is no manager, if is, he/she isnât a great one. I was waiting to be seated and it was just me and my girlfriend waiting, just us, and it took us 5 minutes for someone to talk to us. After 5 minutes the guy said, âyou can seat anywhere, good luck to find a spotâ OK. Later on we found a spot where the table was a mess. I sat and waited around 30min for someone clean for us, we had to ask. The girl that cleaned for us, just took the plates, the dirt stayed in the table even the empty bottle. After 30min the food arrived, and it was SO COLD. I was wondering, Iâm so hurry and the service was poor, if ask them to put in the microwave for 1min I wonât mind. Anyway, we ate the cold food.
