Lovely place, bit annoying with the wait times but understandable as it gets very busy, should probably look at an expansion or franchising in my opinion. Quality of sushi and meals are wonderful, quite a good ramen for that not being their main focus, I easily choose their ramen over some of the ramen dishes I've had in the city. Much less oily and quite tasty, however it could be better with a more flavourful broth and vibrant toppings. The main downfall of this place that is probably okay with others, is the gyoza. Even when ordered I find it quite dry and flavourless. Off of the belt I feel that it has little to no moisture and should be covered for the short while that it is on there to retain some moisture. However, with such a variety of choices, there is something for everyone, though there is still a Japanese fusion put into all the foods, even the fries with their gorgeous wasabi salt. Gorgeous place but with such a huge menu, it's hard to perfect every item. I do reccomend but if you want a specific type of Japanese food, I would go to a specialised restaurant. But for sushi, I have never found a better place than sushiwawa. Perfect for families under 6 people, as groups are a...

Came on a busy Monday night with a long line and 30 minute wait. Food took longer than usual to come out. Had a Salmon Ikura Don which was pretty decent. Ordered Salmon carpaccio but it came out as salmon nigiri. Told the wait staff who took the whole plate back. Chef seemed preoccupied so it took another 15 minutes just to receive the salmon sushi back to be salmon aburi, not the dish we ordered. After 5 minutes the chef saw something was off and replaced our salmon aburi with a fresh plate of the salmon carpaccio we ordered which was good. Sushi was decent. Had the crème brûlée for dessert as I heard it was good but was left quite disappointed. The top was soft, didn’t have that crispy sugar layer. The crème itself was curdled and lumpy, not smooth at all. Tasted alright but the texture just threw us off.

Was definitely understaffed this night, saw tension between kitchen and FOH staff, with people confused, running around and messing up orders. Usually quality and service is much better.

Overall, would still give this place another try, hopefully it was just a one off night where it was just more...

Sushiwawa is one of our local favorites. They claim to have the longest sushi train and yes, it goes on and on! We have been going there for years but tonight had some issues with our booking. The waitperson told us that our online booking was not received for 6pm but a booth is available at 6:30. We could wait at one of the side tables. Alternatively there were people about to leave and we can have that booth until the next booking came at 6:30. WHAT??? Can’t the 6:30 booking just sit in the one they were offering us at 6:30? The mind boggles. But back to the food.

Excellent as always. We ordered a katsu chicken don, teriyaki chicken udon, a tobiko, Peking duck rolls and gyoza. Although I didn’t order it tonight, their sashimi is also very good and fresh. Food is fantastic, you know it’s fresh as it is always busy and has high turnover. Kids love the atmosphere and let’s not forget the blue lemonade.

Would have given a 5 out of 5 if it wasn’t for the mucking around to get in. Guess the trick is don’t use the online...

First visit: I ate sushi - it was nice. They made it fresh if sushi that I wanted were fresh or weren't on the train. Second visit: I ordered chicken katsu don for dine in and asked no onion. The waiter didn't confirm to make sure his note was correct or not. The first bowl was served with onion but without spring onion. I got a replacement with the correct request, no onion, but it took more than 30 minutes for me to finish the meal because rice was too much and chicken was quite dry. I didn't wanna take home the leftover and waste it so I just tried to finish it. The service during the first visit: waitresses didn't really pay attention, I waived my hand a couple of times. Even the chef helped calling the waitress. The second visit: they were quite attentive and food service was pretty quick.
