HeyBro - A Coventry Village Gem for Japanese Cuisine HeyBro, nestled in Coventry Village, is a must-try for Japanese food enthusiasts. Offering a diverse menu featuring both sushi and hot dishes, there's something to satisfy every craving. They even cater to personalized sushi preferences, making it a great spot for a customized culinary experience. My go-to recommendation is their chili chicken with rice. The chicken is tender and flavorful, perfectly complemented by a savory chili sauce that strikes just the right balance of spice and sweetness. Another standout dish is their spice karage, boasting crispy bite-sized pieces of chicken that pack a delicious punch of flavor. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or looking for a satisfying hot meal, HeyBro delivers on both fronts. Their convenient location in Coventry Village and unique custom sushi option make it a perfect choice for a casual lunch or dinner. Don't miss out on this hidden gem for Japanese cuisine in the heart of Coventry Village.

I visited without high expectations, but I found the prices reasonable and the food clean and particularly delicious. The newly developed dish featuring natto was impressive. While natto can be greasy on its own but good for helath, the combination with sushi rice and quinoa, mixed with an unnamed sauce, made for a pleasant eating experience. The harmony of fried tofu with a spicy sauce was fantastic. I can truly feel the owner's dedication to constantly developing great dishes. 👍

I live local and are blessed to have both Hey Bro and Sushi Sushi(Galleria) as my local Japanese go to’s. Hey Bro in particular is slightly better priced and have variations to the Aburi and Sushi that Sushi Sushi don’t have. The gentleman that seems to be a manager is the most accommodating and can prepare anything within 5 to 10 minutes upon request if they have sold out. Miso and special authentic edename is amazing also. I would very much recommend this place.

Excellent sushi, with good ratio of filling to rice. The Tasmanian with raw salmon is about 75% salmon, with avocado. They're certainly not stingy with the expensive ingredients. You get 5 pieces per $8 tray, and they are very large.

The chef is a really nice man. I got the Big Mac sushi once and he opened it up and crumbled chips over it, saying "this is how my art should be presented". For a hole in the wall at a shopping centre it's very refreshing to see someone take such pride in their craft.

I've never tried their cooked food, but I'm sure it's crafted with similar pride.

My only gripe is that it's hard to get parking at Coventry Morley, because it's always so busy. For a reason, it turns out!

Recommended: "The Tasmanian" raw salmon with caviar ($8.50), Spicy Tuna ($8), Spicy Chicken...
