I’m a regular diner at Roll vs Bowl for 3 years now. Eat there around 1-5 time per month.

So today I went to grab a Hue Spice’s noodle soup as usual, last time I had it was 2 weeks ago. But when I receive the food, I realised something different to before. The amount of noodles in there is like 1.5/4 than the original amount I’ve had throughout the past 3 years.

The amount is so little that I literally picked up most of the noodle just by chopstick at once. Ofc some noodles slipped off the chopstick and falls back to the bowl but the soup is still so transparent because barely any noodles.

If my wife didn’t stood up for me and ask what’s wrong with that amount then I could literally finish those noodles within 1 and a half pick by chopstick.

So after my wife confronted the staff, the staff claim that it’s because there’s too much meat in the bowl when there’s only 5 pieces of meat and some cake thingy. Even the meat amount was less than 2 weeks ago but I’m not here to argue about the meats.

I only want to argue about that pity amount of noodles that I receive in the bowl, I understand everything is more expensive now and you’ve already put up price. But now you even trying to decrease the amount of noodles serve? It’s not even 1 serve.

This will be my last visit and good luck to your business with customer not being fed to full

But I can clarify that the service...

I was a bit hesitant as to whether to write this review or not as I know how impactful a bad review can be for a business. But I think I should be open and honest with them by sharing my experience. So I visited this shop a few times and in the past, although the food wasn't the best, it wasn't too bad either. However, last week, I ordered a bowl of beef noodle soup and it came out with one piece of beef. There was a power cut during my visit so they might have forgotten it which is understandable. However, what was really disappointing to me is the pork with still so much hair on it. It is honestly disgusting (see the photo below). I approached the waitress and told her that it is not edible like that but her response was like "if you don't like it, put it away". When I told them there was no beef in my soup (even though it is called beef noodle soup), I didnt even get an apology, they simply gave me some medium rare beef as a substitute. The whole meal was sort of ruined and their unapologetic attitude made me feel like never coming back there again. I hope the owner is reading this review and takes some remedial action to improve the current food hygiene standards and the customer services. Unfortunately, I have to leave a 2 star...

I’m a regular here and on this occasion which will most likely be my last. I bought 2 teriyaki chicken rolls and dropped it off to my partner at work. It turned out that her roll was pork and not chicken and I assured her that it was since that is what it said on the bag she said it could not be and told me to try it. It definitely was not chicken at this point we did not know what it was and spat it out immediately into the bag. I went back to the restaurant and this is where I was told it was pork and asked for a refund as my partner and I do not eat pork as it is against our beliefs and as we were not used to pork it made us sick. I was met with rudeness by the staff at roll and bowl and they said that they do not do refunds which is firstly illegal but because they said I ate half I was not entitled to a refund, which I explained was because I tried it after my partner so I could figure out if it was not chicken. The fact that they did not even apologise for feeding me the pork and had no remorse for THEIR MISTAKE is what completely turned me off from this establishment. Such a shame this used to be a regular spot for lunch for all my friend but I guess...

A Taste of Vietnam, Right Here Roll vs Boll is not just a restaurant; it's a culinary journey to the heart of Vietnam. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in the vibrant aromas of fresh herbs and spices, transporting you to bustling street food markets. The menu is a treasure trove of authentic Vietnamese dishes, each one a masterpiece. The pho, a fragrant broth filled with tender noodles and succulent meats, is a comforting classic. The banh mi, a crispy baguette stuffed with savory fillings, is a lunchtime delight. And the spring rolls, both fried and fresh, are a light and refreshing appetizer. But what truly sets Roll vs Boll apart is the passion and care that goes into every dish. The chefs, skilled artisans of flavor, meticulously prepare each meal, ensuring that every bite is a burst of authentic Vietnamese taste. The friendly and attentive staff add to the overall dining experience, making you feel like a welcomed guest. Whether you're a seasoned Vietnamese food lover or a curious newcomer, Row vs Boll is the perfect place to indulge your taste buds. It's a hidden gem, a culinary secret that deserves to be shared.

Edit 14 May 2023 Visited for lunch. Line was always long just like previous visits. However, food didn't take as long. The wait was less than 10 mins. This place is the only Vietnamese I know that still priced $12.50 for all their dishes and Bahn Mie costing $6.50, which you can hardly get nowadays. For the price, they were generous with their meat. Their dish were all great but on the sweet side, inc their bahn mie. Value for money. ____________ Line is always long during peak hr at this small vietnamese place at Morley coventry market. Ordered their bahn mi; grilled pork, grilled beef and combination. They all were delicious. Their bahn mi is quite cheap averaging at $6 each. Loved their sugar cane drink as well. I was hoping that they give more generous serving for their sugar cane drink as it came in a small size plastic cup with lots of ice.
