Venue: a small korean street food shop run by a Korean. Mainly for takeaway. But have 3 small round tables (for 2 people each) besides the shop. A lot of Korea pancakes & food photos are displayed on the glass wall. --- 6.3/10 Service: Korean owner with 1 assistant only. He is nice and helpful. Order and pay at the front desk. Gave us a card and asked us to come back after 10 minutes to get the food with the card. Reasonable waiting time. The assistant helped us to take our food to our table. Servitte, wooden fork, and spoon were available. --- 7/10 Food: uses parchment paper and disposable containers (paper or plastic) and wooden utensils. Normal portion. Good Prices. Korean Fried Chicken, small $14: There are 3 sizes and 3 flavors. We picked Soy Garlic. Good portion of small bite-sized boneless chicken mixed with 6 pcs of Tteokbokki (korean rice cakes). Served very hot. Crispy outside and soft inside. The soy garlic was tasty. I think it's served with radish pickles. --- 8/10 -Soddeok, $8/skewer: sausage and rice cakes with sweet chili sauce and mustard. Probably, it was cooked earlier than other dishes, so the rice cakes were not as soft as those in fried chicken. Actually, it's a bit hard when cool down. It ought to eat as fast as possible. Other elements were good. --- 7/10 Minced Chicken Pancake, $13: served with 2 sauces: just follow the 4 steps clearly shown on the overhead screen. First, wheat flour or glutinous rice flour. That's good to have gluten-free choice. Wide selection of vegetables. Pick 3 from there. We picked popular onion, carrots, and spring onion. It's served with onion pickles and 1 sauce we chose (teriyaki sauce). The pancake was very hot and crispy. But, stick to the parchment paper. Minced chicken was distributed over the whole pancake. Good value --- 8.3/10 Udon Soup: Free. There was tofu puff, spring onions, and shallots inside. It's too salty...
Read moreHave gone twice and i must say theyre doing a super good job despite opening only recently. theyre a hit as they are providing korean cuisine closer to local area as most of them are in northbridge. everything is fairly priced.
fried chicken; is pretty good, my fav flavour is the soy garlic and the peanuts offer a nice touch. the rice cakes are always welcome. although not the best or even top 5 of korean chicken in perth id say its good for what it is especially since theyve just opened.
korean pancakes; very very yummy and like i said above no where local sells korean pancakes and so its quiet the hit. my go to will be seafood or kimchi. my only cons is that it is very very oily and i didnt finish my pancake as i saw how much oil was in the box and it threw me off. this also caused it to go slightly soggy and i prefer my pancakes to be only the cripsy side.
have not tried their sides yet but am very eager to! will post another review when i have.
overall a very good start to their shop and although there a lots to improve it wont stop me...
Read moreLove this Korean mom and pop joint! Got the seafood korean pancake which came with four pieces of succulent, tender and flavoursome Korean fried chicken. Set also came with free onion pickles and chilli sauce. Honestly the best I've had, so fresh, not greasy, tastes homemade and was full of prawns and squid. The fried chicken was perfectly seasoned. I usually don't like the overly sweet taste which sometimes Korean restaurants emphasise and I'm very impressed by how well balanced the sweetness was contrasted to the garlic and chilli sauce! Whole thing was $19 and very worth it! Love this addition...
