I honestly don’t even know where to begin – everything about this place was a complete disaster. Starting with the food: the meat box was dry and tasteless. The so-called “kebab” was a joke – maybe 10% meat and 90% vegetables. If you're going to serve veggie patties, at least have the decency not to falsely advertise them as kebabs.

Portions were ridiculously small for the absurd price. I don’t mind paying extra for quality food, but this was far from it – bland, dry, and straight-up disappointing. It’s almost offensive they even dare to call this Turkish cuisine. If you want real Turkish food, try any kebab shop in Perth – they actually know what they're doing. These guys are just hiding behind the name and ruining the reputation of Turkish food.

As if the food wasn't bad enough, the customer service was even worse. The staff were extremely rude and unprofessional – especially the owner, who seemed to go out of his way to make customers feel unwelcome. Zero manners, zero hospitality. They desperately need someone who understands basic public relations.

And let’s not forget the hygiene – the cook looked like he’d just rolled out of bed and walked straight into the kitchen. No gloves, no hair net, visibly dirty clothes. It was genuinely off-putting. If this is how they operate in front of customers, I don’t even want to imagine what goes on behind the scenes.

This place is a mess, and if they keep going like this, they're not going to last. Horrible food, worse service, and shocking hygiene. Save your money and your stomach – go literally...

Unfriendly, Not Clean, Over Priced and Tasteless food! Don't waste your time and money. My wife and I walked in here and ordered a Pide as an Entree to try intending to order Kebabs and a Pizza. No greeting, no hello or welcome from the man at the cash register not even a smile! Next minute he is chatting and welcoming another couple enthusiastically whilst we were waiting for our order! Only difference between them and us was they were young and WHITE, we were retired and BROWN! Go figure the motivation! Table we chose was not clean with food scraps so moved to a second one which was also dirty. Asked him for a cloth to clean and he said staff will be around to do that! Just wiped the food scraps onto the floor which is great for hygiene, safety and cleanliness in these Covid times! The Pide was absolutely tasteless and unauthentic and we have had Turkish Pide all over Australia as well as overseas on our travels. Took one bite and walked out. Found Jo-Joe's Pizza and Kebab where we enjoyed fabulous Kebabs and an authentic Italian Pizza which was yummy, service was cheerful and respectful, well priced, spotlessly clean with comfortable eating areas. That's where we will go next time rather than here where people from certain backgrounds seem to be unwelcome! Check the negative reviews from other people with names that are non Anglo Saxon which shows this is...

Would give 0 if possible

We had a very disappointing experience at Istanbul Kebabs & Turkish Bakery. From the moment we walked in, we were met with an unwelcoming attitude from the owner. There was no greeting, no smile — just cold and dismissive behavior.

It’s incredibly disheartening to be treated with such disrespect, especially when you’re trying to support a local business. We were looking forward to enjoying a nice Turkish meal, but the customer service completely ruined the experience. It felt as though our presence wasn’t appreciated, and we left the shop feeling uncomfortable and disrespected.

No matter how good the food might be, service like this leaves a lasting negative impression. A little kindness and professionalism go a long way, and unfortunately, that was entirely missing here. We won’t be returning, and we wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a friendly, welcoming...

Worst Experience – Overpriced and Rude Owner Spent over $120 on food that should have cost $70–90 at most. Outrageously expensive for what you get. To make things worse, they charged us extra for cups to drink water, which should have been provided for free. When I politely asked the owner to charge my phone, he rudely refused, saying there were no free sockets—despite two clearly visible empty sockets. His attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. Would have canceled my order right then and there, but I had friends visiting from Sydney for the Albany tour, so I didn’t want to ruin the outing. I get that you don’t have much competition in the area, but squeezing every last dollar out of your customers just because you can is unfair. This place operates on a “might is right” mentality rather than good service. Avoid if you can. Not worth the money or the disrespect.

Terrible place! I made the mistake of ordering coffee and some warm milk for my daughter. When I received what some would a 'tasting' portion of the coffee and milk I asked how much was I charged for this? $4.50 for coffee and $4.50 for the milk. When I questioned if this was a fair price considering there's no coffee in that little milk cup...the person behind the counter very rudely said "give me milk back and I'll return your $4.50 !!" Way to treat a customer! I get milk for my kid all the time from all cafes... most charge a modest amount of $2 / $3 for a larger cup...some don't charge anything if there is more to the order. But this place just takes the cake for a greedy business!

What a little find... Was the only place we could find open on a public holiday. Besides the pubs. My 2 friends had the fish and chips, which they thoroughly enjoyed and both commented how nice the fish was. I had a chicken (shish kebab) plate. The chicken had so much flavour.. I chose the aioli dressing for the side. The salads they dished out we're lovely and fresh. And went so well. Staff were very friendly and accommodating even though they were so busy and rushed off there feet. It's a simple little cafe style shop, and I would definitely go there again
