Would literally never step foot in this place ever again. Firstly we asked for waffles, and the lady at the front yells across to the girl sitting on her lunch break and says that she doesnāt know how to do waffles. The girl replies that she just has to make sure she checks the consistency of the batter. The lady at the counter glances into the kitchen and then mumbled that there was no batter left so she couldnāt do the waffles. So we instead order chicken salad which was terrible, and the roast beef gravy roll (the bread was stale and there was barely any gravy). As if this wasnāt enough to irritate us, they had given us the wrong vanilla slice. We specifically asked for vanilla slice and there was another type there called āCerica vanilla sliceā which was also more expensive. I went back to the counter and mentioned that we had been given the wrong vanilla slice and another older lady says āthat is a vanilla sliceā with an attitude in her tone. I said āNo, we just asked for a vanilla slice, the other one has another nameā. She says ābut itās a vanilla sliceā I just told her I didnāt come here to argue, but clearly we were given the wrong one. She says āokay which one has the vanilla slice name tagā, which was the exact one we were after. So I pointed it at it. Canāt believe the staff donāt know their own product. 0/10, would never...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been buying a two-shot coffee here regularly for $4.50 using my own 650-ml cup. Today the owner wanted me to pay the three-shot price because, in her opinion, my cup was too big. I gave her the option to earn the business for the two-shot price, but she wasn't interested. I thought about just paying what she wanted, but I've had a few burnt coffees from here and noticed staff not frothing the milk (also known as stretching the milk) using the correct method, so instead I went down to Cafelife at Craigie Leisure Centre and got a great tasting un-burnt barista coffee. I guess 50 ml of extra milk broke my daily coffee fix at Kingsley Kitchen. If you are after a good basic barista-made coffee, my two picks in the local area are Nourish & Feed (closes earlier than advertised, be warned) and Cafelife inside Cragie Leisure Centre (closes at 8 p.m.). If you want my subjective opinion of the "best coffee in Perth," my pick would be Pound Coffee Roasters, located in OāConnor. Justin respects the coffee-making process and roasts his own beans onsite. He also holds regular cupping sessions where he will talk you through the assorted beans, helping you understand the ins and outs of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat good value place for coffee and snacks. It is clean and food handling is clean. No nose scratching, face rubbing or playing with hair by baristas. Covered in food cabinets with doors, no food left uncovered on display. Baristas are competent, work hard to be quick and always chirpy! The coffee bean is my favourite so please don't change it. And the mini Anzac biscuit is great. I usually have toasties, home made sausage rolls or roast dinner. Continental rolls are good value I bought for our tradies during our renovations. Cakes - perhaps the odd on premises made ones be...
