Kuzu Turkish Resturant & Shisha Lounge — Restaurant in Western Australia

I think maybe our expectations were a bit too high. The decor is lovely in some areas. The Shisha Lounge looked cool but we were there for a meal and not for Shisha. I had booked a table and I assumed that would give us a nice positioned spot, but we were placed in the second half of the dining area which is unfinished and has no decor at all. The LED lighting and stark white walls made us feel like were were seated in a bathroom. In the front section where it's painted and has lovely lighting and pictures on the walls, there was an unoccupied table which would have made more sense to seat a booking at. My partner's meal was tasty but a small portion for the price (Turkish food is usually generous portions) and my Pide didn't come out until he had finished his meal, which was a long time to send a 2nd main out for a table of 2. We checked out the menu online and were interested in trying the woodfire pizza. When we got there, it wasn't clear if you ordered at the counter or if it was table service as no one greeted us, we sat ourselves and a waiter did come by to bring us water. My partner wanted more time to go over the menu as it it bigger than what was online. When the waiter came back and I asked for the pizza he told me then that the woodfire oven wasn't running. We were already there and seated so we decided to order the gozleme and Iskender along with turkish bread and dips. The dips and bread were lovely, gozleme was average. We recently celebrated my daughter’s 16th birthday at this restaurant, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The new owner went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. He was incredibly accommodating, even allowing a party decorator to come in and set up beforehand, which made organising the event so much easier for us.

We opted for a buffet, and the food was fresh, delicious, and enjoyed by all our guests. The staff were attentive, helpful, and genuinely friendly their service made the whole day feel seamless and special.

I would highly recommend this venue to anyone planning a celebration. The combination of great food, warm hospitality, and excellent customer service truly made it a memorable occasion.
