I visited this bakery last Monday and whilst waiting to be served was suddenly and brusquely I was addressed by a lady I Later determined was a Natasha Nash, as to why I wasnât wearing a mask. I informed her that I had an exemption and she said unless I showed it to her I should leave.
I told her it was illegal to request the document under the 1988 Disability Discrimination act however I would immediately show a police officer upon request.
She then became rude and aggressive and shouted at me to ,âGET OUTâ
The following day when I spoke to head office and provided a recording of the assistance agressive behaviour the lady agreed and apologised and said she would get back to me.
Today when we spoke on the phone I was asked to provide and email to the effect that I had an exemption and even my certificate, so that they could ensure I was âsafe â when I entered their shop. I didnât accept their offer and stated they are misinterpreting the rules, they re not the police . providing me with an individual âpassâ is not the answer, they should not discriminate, ask by all means if the person has an exemption, they have done their job, not be a police officer
I shall never visit any of Lawleyâs bakeries again Shoddy, unprofessional and discriminatory

Read moreI stopped in for a takeaway lunch with hopes of a bagel or delicious roll, and while it was a bit later in the day (around 2pm) I wasn't thrilled with the choices available, even though there was still variety and it was still busy. I opted for a chicken, cheese and avocado roll which I had toasted, and for $14 I was really unimpressed. There was plenty of chicken but barely any avocado, a standard cheddar slice and three little pieces of sundried tomato. The bread was lovely, obviously fresh and a lovely crunch from being toasted but the inside was cold and you wouldn't have known it had been heated at all. I'd return for a loaf of bread but not for food. Perhaps the other venues are different but I don't know that I'll...
Read moreVery rude blunt staff who won't even spare the time to serve their customers. Can't even get the girl to stand in front of me and speak to me as a human being. She preferred to stand a metre away and with an oversized impractical glass cabinet between us. When I ask what flavour is the muffin she barked "chocolate" I know what chocolate looks like so I said, no, the one next to it. I couldn't hear her so I asked again and she snapped "currant" she was so rude I just left. Save your money for the Iga deli and cakes. Other bakers sell their desserts there. AND the prices are displayed. At lawleys there's no names or prices...
