LIBA'S Authentic African Cuisine — Restaurant in Western Australia

We really enjoyed the donuts and the Plantain. We spent almost $70 and it wasn't as great as we thought. Maybe it just requires a certain taste. We ordered the jollof rice, egusi, chicken curry stew, donuts, plantain and whole fish and 3x Banku. The service was beautiful, a young man at the counter had great customer service. He seemed to be doing everything. Must be family owned as there are children and people sitting in the dining area going in and out through the back. Love a great family environment though, but maybe not for a restaurant ❤️. The food we had wasn't freshly made. Maybe it was the end of the day, foods all dried out?? But we know it was taken from the front warmer holder??and reheated out the back in a microwave, then served to us on plates. Not sure if it's normal, but we noticed orders going out for delivery via Menulog are taken from the front holders and packed into the bags.not sure if customers are aware that they're cold or not. Anyways, the service was great 👍, the food however didn't...

Liba and her team are absolutely exceptional! We hired her to cater for x3 of our company Christmas parties (where we expected more than 60+ people) and she was absolutely AMAZING! I could not recommend her more enough :).

We had her: Tilapia fish, Fried chicken, Lamb stew, Jollof rice, Ugali (salza), Vegetable sause & Chilli sauce (shito)

... and everyone adored the food! We had no idea what to order for our cohort- so after consulting Liba- she provided the best recommendations that worked so well in our favour! (She really knows what she is doing).

Not only was she very punctual on the day, but she was so well organised and had the food ready to serve at the exact time we asked (and it tasted like it was cooked fresh right there on the spot). The food was delicious and we had SO many people ask if we could have her cater for our events more often. The quality of her food and her customer servicing skills are just impeccable!

I couldn't recommend her...

first off i ordered for pick up and was 10 minutes late because i didn’t realise how fast it would be ready, took about 12 minutes. when i got there i was super apologetic and the owner was incredibly nice and reassuring that it was okay. i was surprised by the fact nobody was in there!

i rushed to my car just to try one of the puff puffs and it was amazing!! so fresh and fluffy but sweet, nothing like aus/us donuts but i’d say these were better, as they aren’t doused in sugar. the bag was heavy and there was a very good portion for only $30!

i ordered the light stew with meat and that came with a serving of fufu. it had so much flavour and the meat was cooked to perfection. it was very mildly spicy and if you’re extremely sensitive to spice i would ask one of the kind staff for their recommendations!

i would highly recommend you at least try their food, i will be going back there definitely!...
