Environment: spacious, large area for dine in. Asian style. Dine in or take away. There are 2 fridges in front of the entrance, selling Cakes, Swiss Rolls with variety of Asian flavors, Malaysian sweets, housemade Chinese drinks, and other brands of drinks. But limited selections of bread in the tall shelves next to the entrance. Most are Asain style bread. At the front desk, there are Chinese Steamed buns and Chinese snacks served hot, and various Chinese / Hong Kong styles pastries, and different flavour cookies. Japanese Cheese cake, $12: were dry, and the texture not like Japanese cheese cake. It just a dry butter cake. Big Bao, $5: reasonable price. Fluffy pastry. There are pork, chicken, egg, mushroom, and sausage.

Long term customer here but very disappointed with the quality of food and services that I received today. I bought 3 tea eggs for $5 today. There was no tea flavour in their tea eggs at all. Why not just boil some eggs myself? It tastes just like plain boiled eggs. I only requested to exchange one of the tea eggs but the staff refused to exchange after provided them the feedback. They argued that the eggs are freshly made and only marinated for a day. You saved an egg today but you have lost a loyal customer here. Good bye

Master Chang’s bakery is so underrated! This place served fresh, delicious, flavoursome food. Even since I was introduced to their siew paos (pork buns) I could never forget that taste ever since. Even though I live far away, I come to this place because of how good the food is. I highly recommend their egg tarts and walnut cookies. Lemon tea is juicy. Inside is clean and the staff is very friendly. Don’t miss out on this jam 🥟

Mediocre food & extremely rude staff. Extremely disappointed with the service at this branch of Master Chang's Bakery. The girl who ended up serving us initially ignored us for ages until she decided she could be bothered. We had come with extended family & we could have paid for the items individually at the counter (i'm assuming we would have each received our items in a container & bag as usual) but as my Dad had decided to shout the whole family (by whole family, I mean two sides of our family), we hadnt considered the fact that we would need an extra bag to divide the goodies we had bought. We purchased $100 worth of buns & assorted pastries, and were going our separate ways so asked if we could please have another bag & container so that we didnt have to carry a bunch of individual food items. The girl seriously gave us the dirtiest look and rolled her eyes like we had asked for something absolutely ridiculous. She then said we could have a bag and container as long as we pay extra for it.... which I honestly feel is ridiculous after spending so much money in a bakery, but what especially made the overall experience horrible, was her...

First time we visited this bakery while searching for a quick breakfast. Interior of the bakery belies its nondescript exterior. It is bright, clean and modern reminiscent of Scandi style decor. There is a broad array of Asian pastries and baked goods on offer, all reasonably priced. The food we ordered was fresh and easy to eat for their proportions. What I loved the most was their Teh Tarek, something we last tasted in Singapore and have been looking to have again back home. This beverage is made with loose leaf tea infused with condensed milk and always perfectly made to our taste: strong, lightly sweetened and with the organic taste of the tea still intact. We'll go back here any day and have informed family of this place. If you're in Perth looking for a quick and tasty breakfast, you can't miss this bakery. Just be open-minded to the fact that it is an Asian style bakery but the food on offer transports you to places like Malaysia, Japan, Singapore...

One of the best vanilla swiss rolls I've had in Perth for many years, and the other flavors are all solid too. They're also the only Asian bakery in the area making decent pastries, cakes and bao at a reasonable price. I wish their bread selection was bigger, as the types they make don't really interest me. The siew bao (BBQ pork puffs) and egg tarts are always great from this branch. The savory sticky rice hidden at the bottom of the steamer cabinet is also worth a try (there aren't that many places making this kind of steamed sticky rice dish, and it's quite different from what you get at dimsum restaurants).

I think the Asian foodie community tends to have really high standards, especially comparing back to food in actual Asian countries, so some of the reviews look overly harsh to me. Times are tough, so I hope we can support good local businesses serving unique food like this one, otherwise we...
