Really bad customer service. Service staff is untrained. I went on a Saturday afternoon with a 2 adult and 2yo toddler. The place was full. I told the staff "table for four" and was responded "Sorry we are full" (I can see that). I told her I could wait and then waited outside the shop. 15 minutes later, one couple finished and left. I would have expected the staff to check with another couple sitting on the big table to move to the smaller table (as they are still waiting for their food and drinks), and try sitting other customers waiting outside the shop. Nope, they didn't even bother to check. As more and more people waiting outside the shop not knowing what to do, I went in and ask the staff again, Me:"Do you guys have a a waiting list? Do you want to make one?". Staff said "Nope, we don't", Me: "So how do you know how many people waiting for your table?" Staff:"we don't have that system", Me:" Can you see all the people waiting outside, do you know how many people are waiting?" Staff:" I don't know how many people are waiting" I ended up getting them to put my name on the makeshift "waiting list" and waited for another 20 mins and left. I left because while waiting, I saw that the food would take 20-30 mins to arrive at the table, take away latte (from other customer) would take 20mins. I wouldn't even bother...
Read moreI came to Mellow Cafe with two friends and had a wonderful experience. I ordered kimchi shakshuka, bulgogi quesadilla, and buldak chicken wings. The food was so delicious that even the COCKROACH wanted to eat it. While I was eating, I saw a cockroach on the table. When I told the waitress about this, she said she would tell the manager. And the manager didn't come to see us until we finished eating. When we finally left the food and went to get the takeaway container, she came and said, "I'm sorry this happened. The seats you're sitting in are next to the decorative plants, so there are often COCKROACH." And she said that the takeaway container would cost $1 each, but she would give them to us for free. At that moment, I knew I had to write this review. Honestly, I've worked in restaurants before and wanted to handle it quietly, but the manager's attitude made me write this review. If we hadn't asked for takeaway container, the manager wouldn't have come to apologize to us. Also, the manager said sorry, but she kept making excuses until the end, which was very disappointing. In conclusion, if you don't want to eat with COCKROACH, don't sit by the window. The manager said that cockroaches live in the plants...
Read moreWe were in the area doing the minigolf and decided to come by here for lunch. The place is quite small but we were able to get an outdoor table. They did have blankets available. The menu has a range of cafe food and many have a Korean twist to them. They also had cabinet food. After ordering an indoor table became available and we were able to move it. They do have a bathroom but it needs keys from the counter and its out the back of the building. We grabbed the chicken waffles, beef bulgogi croissant and the buldak wings to share. The chicken waffles did look quite impressive with teo types of waffles and fried chicken, covered with cream and maple syrup. I thought the waffles were on the softer side but the chicken was cooked well. The bulgogi croissant had an interesting flavour and the crispy potato gave it a nice texture. The buldak wings were nice with the cheese sauce heated over a candle so it was gooey the whole time. The spiciness was neutralised by the cheese. It was a nice place for food and it was quite interesting...
