If you’re looking for an extremely honest review of this place, this is it. I am someone who rarely complains about restaurants, mainly because I try to find any excuse I can for eateries since, I get it, being in the hospitality industry is an incredibly hard job. But as someone who has been to this place countless times over the years, with some experiences being great and some not-so-great, tonight’s experience has officially made me want to stop coming here completely, and I’ve given it SO many chances, way. too. many. but those stories are for another day. I ordered Uber Eats tonight from this place, and since tonight is also Valentine’s Day, I was hoping to have some nice Italian food delivered to my family and I this Wednesday evening. I ordered BBQ pork ribs, chips, and spaghetti meatballs. The fact that all of it was $80 wasn’t even the issue this time (again, I rarely complain, the food industry is tough), it was the fact that it took more than 2 HOURS to arrive. How is that even possible? Now look, one time I went to the restaurant in person and they didn’t even remember to come and give us our menus after almost 15 minutes, and another time they cancelled my Uber Eats order…. twice, both on different days, so them being late or not coming at all wasn’t new to me. Anyway, I ordered the food at around 7, it came at around 9:20, and the store closes at 9. Even our delivery driver said it was “the longest time [he] had to wait”, why do you think that is? Poor guy, we tipped him $20 after he delivered it to us. The distance from the restaurant to our house would take less time to do than waiting there, by car, but also by foot. The wait was so long I could have driven to Mandurah and back, go eat at an Italian place there and would still have to wait. Once we got our food, I wasn’t surprised that the food wasn’t warm anymore, it was kind of a no-brainer, it was the fact that the chips that I ordered for $9 extra weren’t even there, and my ribs were burnt! Come on Crinitis, you had over 2 hours to look at my order and didn’t even pack the chips, or cook my ribs properly, you’re lucky that I like the occasional burnt chicken (I currently have wedges from my freezer in the oven right now). To conclude, if you’re looking for an Italian restaurant that can sometimes make the best food you’ll ever eat one day, and something that you would never want to touch again another day (aka the one time they put way too much garlic in my mushroom risotto, that I’ve had several times previously by the way), this place is for you! Otherwise, maybe its time to start looking for another restaurant to go to, I...
Read moreTerrible experience dining here and It will be my last. I was hoping for a fantastic meal to end my day on but instead it had ruined my entire day.
Came here to eat because and I had a hit or miss prior experiences dining here, hit when I was eating with others but miss when eating solo unfortunately like today
I ordered off their QR code system as I like to peruse the entire menu with the pics of the food so I have an idea what I ordered as well as not having to wait to be served to get my order taken, instead it is instantaneous using modern technology and can visually see my order in its entirety.
So I had a good look at the menu and ended up on the Steak as it looked quite promising with the chips and sauce on the side alongside a nice tall pint of beer.
Ordered it and wanted additional garlic bread as the ordering page had suggested additional sides so I said why not? Only for it to come out with no chips and one tiny slice of barely garlic bread and some bland veggies on the side which weren’t mentioned which costed me $53! Asked the waitress wheres the chips? She seemed initially confused and said you ordered garlic bread not chips so I told her i thought it came with chips as shown in the picture, she then understood the confusion and went to the kitchen to order a “basket” of chips for me which eventually came out.
I was initially upset with the deception and the value of the meal but I thought ah they gave me some chips so that cheered me up then I ordered some dessert which was the tiramisu thinking the photo looked so good but it came out and was very different from the photo. It was bland and not worth the money, no taste it wasn’t even sweet!
I also ordered a nutella espresso martini but that was flat no foam and a disgusting swipe of nutella on the side of the glass! Just awful.
So then after all that I was done, I’m ready to leave and I was about to write a review but thought nah they gave me chips to not upset me so I won’t until a waittress stopped me and said you need to pay for the chips. I was very shocked. I told her the situation and expressed my displeasure to which she then just goes to the kitchen and comes back and tells me its ok I dont have to pay for the chips. I had already spent a lot of money over $100 by myself and they wanted me to pay for their deceptive chips?! I am fuming! I have never experienced such terrible service and overpriced bland tasteless food and...
Read moreSaved by the Pizza. Customer service on the phone was painful, the guy needs some lessons in good customer service over the phone, he lacked friendliness and enthusiasm for taking my business. Manager seems to lack customer service and communication skills also. Called him over, thought he was coming to greet us but ended up grabbing a tablet to give to a waitress so they could take our order. Not a single smile or verbal greeting. In a place like this you’d think if you’re the manager, the first person I’m communicating with and representing a brand, even if you are needing to attend to something more important a ‘hi there I’ll send one of our friendly waitstaff to help you with your order’ would be a polite way to manage the situation. Waitress did her very best with service, she was friendly, polite and honest, but she could’ve done with some extra guidance surrounding service etiquete (queue manager/supervisor). She was leaning over my sister during taking the order to the point where my sister was crouching in her chair. I understand she might’ve had a hard time hearing as we were outside but she really just needed to shuffle sideways between people seated. Cos in the Caesar was brown where leaves were cut. Both salads were overdressed and looked thrown into the bowl. Presentation goes a long way, especially at the prices you pay. Dome in Kelmscott does a better job with their salads. There was little consideration for where food was being placed on the table when it arrived. Most of the food was shared and we asked for it to be in the middle but shared items were dumped on the end which happened to be the most convenient place for staff to dump and run. My sparkling had almost no sparkle to it. The app they have for ordering is slow and doesn’t allow for individual ordering, which was a surprise because most places allow you to do separate billing on apps. Can’t say it’s a good or bad thing but definitely would’ve preferred it.
I really liked the variety in the menu. The pizza’s were so good. Loved the variety, flavour combinations in the pizzas, and how well they were executed. Food came out in good time.
Again for the price you pay i’d expect better quality service. I get better service from the local Italian in Armadale. Could’ve spent more, could’ve come back again but I might just stick with take away pizza from critinis next time, if there is...
