The restaurant's food menu is truly exceptional, featuring an array of delectable dishes ranging from savory appetizers to mouth-watering entrees, all prepared with fresh and high-quality ingredients that are carefully sourced. The restaurant takes pride in serving only the best, and it shows in the quality of the dishes. The menu offers a wide range of options that cater to different dietary requirements and preferences, including vegetarian and gluten-free options.
In addition to the delicious food, the beer and cider choices are equally impressive, with a diverse selection of local and international brews that cater to a range of tastes and preferences. The restaurant's beer and cider experts have curated a menu that offers a variety of options, from light and refreshing to bold and complex, ensuring that there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The sticky lamb ribs, a popular dish among patrons, are slow-cooked to perfection, resulting in beautifully tender and flavorful meat that falls off the bone. The mushroom tacos with soft tortillas are a vegetarian option that is equally delightful, expertly cooked with exotic spices and fresh ingredients that come together to create a burst of flavors in every bite. My wife, who is a food critic, was particularly impressed with the mushroom tacos and couldn't stop raving about them.
The restaurant's location offers a great view, adding to the overall dining experience and ambiance. Whether you're seated indoors or outdoors, you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding landscape that are sure to leave a lasting impression. However, if you plan to sit outside on a hot day, don't forget to wear sunscreen to avoid getting sunburnt.
In summary, the restaurant impresses with its exceptional food menu, diverse beer and cider choices, excellent service, and great view, making it an ideal destination for foodies, beer enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a memorable...
Read moreOur family, have supported the Rowing Pavilion via meals and or coffees over numerous occasions now, as we live local and believe in supporting customer focussed local businesses.
Our family booked a river side table for a birthday function on the 15th March, some two weeks in advance of this date. They were not told that the table they had booked nor that any of the riverside tables had a requirement for a min of 6persons - in fact they were told that they could book the said table #, which then became a confirmed booking.
Sadly upon our arrival, we found that we had been moved to a central table amongst complete strangers. When we spoke to the on duty manager about our disappointment and that we had a confirmed booking for a riverside table, we were told that we had been moved as our party consisted of just 4 persons. Still not happy and raising the point that we could and should have been told about this requirement at the time of our booking, or at least via one of their many booking confirmation emails, the duty manager just brushed us off with the pitch that "they were very busy and we couldn' t be moved".
We sat for a short while pondering over how unfair this was, whilst watching several couples (2 persons) take up riverside tables all blissfully being overlooked by management.
So with renewed vicor, we re-approached the duty manager once again expressing our dissappointment with his decision, and how we had purposely asked for and booked a riverside table. This time around justice prevailed and a riverside table was offered to us and we went on to enjoy a nice lunch.
My personal view is: Food was nice and table service was good, but would I go back or recommend this venue and my answer would be - NO, NOT FOR NOW. This is purely because they have created within me, the impression that taking a booking (which equates to $'s) takes precident over their commitment to a customer or a...
Read moreWent for an early Fathers Day dinner last Saturday. We booked a table of 4 for a 5.30 start.
When we got there, I was quite taken aback as the place was already very busy & crowded. It was also very noisy - way too noisy for my liking. Felt like a pub rather than a restaurant.
As we were seated, informed by staff that we could order via the QR code or go to the counter/bar area to order. I decided to order at the bar.
We ordered :
Fries, rosemary salt, smoked aioli $14
Seared Scallops, miso, wasabi, lime $26
Wild Mushroom, parmesan, fior de latte, truffle oil $28
700g Dardanup Rib Eye, wild mushroom peppercorn sauce, fresh thyme $115
Includes 2 sides & we chose :
Soba Noodle Salad, ginger, soy, capsicum, red onion ($21)
Roasted Brussels Sprouts, whipped citrus feta, kale, green beans, sunflower seeds (22)
Hubby also ordered a glass of red wine.
Total bill was just under $200.
We would rate the experience to be rather disappointing as staff was scarce & we had to go from & to our table to for anything, not the restaurant atmosphere I was expecting.
Food was also mediocre at best with the stand out dishes being the pizza & hubby enjoyed his scallop. The Brussels Sprouts was nice but nothing to rave over. Worst dish had to be the Soba Salad - bland & very underwhelming. In addition, the steak was asked to be cooked medium rare but only half of it were & the rest were well done. Meat was rather tough & chewy, definitely not the best rib eye cut.
It was our first time & I don’t think I would recommend or go...
