Have been going to this place on and off, for months. Friendly PATIENT staff. Always helpful. Even when, on the odd occasion another patron behaved like a sugar fuelled toddler. I am not a tall, blonde, entitled brat ( one of those was there today). Being attractive and female does not automatically jump you to the head of the queue. Nor does talking down to the staff make you the pin up girl to the staff. It is busy And popular. I eat out, a lot. Never had this top level of service until I came here. I was trying to buy drinks and order a meal but her majesty ( blonde AND entitled) took up the whole section of the bar. Threatening and bullying the staff. She wanted what she wanted. NOW. I have never understood that type of behaviour. She was disrupting service, upsetting customers with her offensive manner. She was quite, politely asked to leave. She stormed off and, in my opinion sent this poor little whipped husband ( one assumes they were married) to SORT OUT THE PROBLEM AND THE INSULT TO HIS WIFE. Give me a break, she was being a cow, again in my opinion, making people uncomfortable. Go there, enjoy have a great time hordes do Becky but with an E, delightful funny charming and efficient- doesn't hold a grudge I would after that entitled piece of gear treated her as an enslaved object. Still, don't let some overmade up harpy put you off When she flounced off and I placed my order. Oysters. Yay. More than 5...
Read moreWe eat out frequently & enjoy trying new venues. Oyster Bedz was recommended by a Mandurah local. We booked online for 7pm. The place was pretty deserted and there seemed to be quite a few staff around. Firstly we weren’t ushered to our table, instead the waitress pointed in the general direction of where to find our table. Having decided what we wanted to order we waited & waited for our order to be taken & eventually went up to the bar to order. We still can’t fathom whether there is table service or not! The food arrived - the mains, no entree. When we asked about the entrees we ordered, we were told it was on its way. The waitress seemed put out that we didn’t want it all at the same time & took the mains back to the kitchen. After we had our entree, the mains returned. No offer of water to be brought to the table at any point. The food was ok, nothing earth shattering. A group of 5 arrived, sat down and waited and waited. Nobody approached them or brought any menus - they walked out and went to the restaurant next door - good move! Despite the lovely view across the marina, we felt uninclined to linger and left as soon as we finished. I’m writing this review because we have so much to show case in WA and venues like Oyster Bedz could thrive, instead experiences like this drags down WA...
Read moreMy beer was flat and I had to return it. My main came out 15 minutes before everyone else, so I had to eat it, I was finished before anyone else's meal arrived. Mine and everyone else's meals arrived out of order, I received my main then my oysters and then my entree after everyone else had there mains. My main meal was supposed to be crispy pork belly. It was soggy, overcooked to the point of being like boot leather, it was cold although coming our very quickly. The oysters were ok but not enough to save the rest of the meal. My entree was supposed to be Korean fried chicken it was not crispy and quite dry even with the mayonnaise provided. It had a strange coating which was more like a fish batter which was quite unpleasant on chicken. Finally when I was nearly finished my entree when my replacement beer arrived at least it was cold and not flat. We had a party of 10 people, we were jammed onto 2 small square tables which were very cramped with little to no movement available around them, if anyone needed to move all along that side of the 2 small tables needed to move to allow them out. Overall a very poor dinning experience for such an expensive meal I cannot recommend this...
