Went to Paddy Molones after work today For a drink and dinner However when my wife and I were sitting in an unreserved booth at 4.30pm and then 15 minutes later a bar staff person came over and put a booking for another person for 6.30pm and I questioned what if we were planning to stay there after that time, she said well there are other seats after that time to the front, then she left. (and if you have been to this venue most times before 8ish is not the case). To cut along story short, we were there for a meal and a few beers and was told we were on a time limit in a pub? We usually don’t order until 5.30 to 6 pm
So I called her back to say we were going to order a meal and was not impressed that she didn’t asked us if we were going to order food. ( it should have been asked) As I come to this venue 2 to 3 times a week it is under stood that if you sit at a table unreserved anywhere in the place it’s yours until you are finished (not the 1 hour and 45 mins in a pub not a posh restaurant) As I have seen people sitting at tables for quiz nights and karaoke well over 1 hour and 45 minutes.
So in this venue bookings take president over unreserved table walk in’s.
So we informed to bar person We will eat some where else tonight.
Never had this problem ever in any other venue.

Read moreWe moved to Joondalup 3 months ago and Paddy's has fast become our favorite place to go. The staff are attentive and welcome you like friends. Nothing is too difficult.
The male bartender Jaxon has literally been here everytime we have come. He is friendly and attentive and works his A$$ off, if you can clone him every bar could use a staff member like him. Not to mention the ladies on staff who are ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. It's also great to see a manager (Nigel) walking around speaking to customers and busing tables, it's a good sign of a great business when the boss gets out there and gets dirty with his team.
OK now I've talked about the staff let's get onto the food, I think we have had most of the menu. Burger are big and well presented, Pork Belly is great and the best crackle I've had, Salt and Pepper Squid is melt in your mouth tender, Sunday Night roast nights are great and you can't beat the price with large portions, Sirloin steak was cooked perfect and everything else in-between was great.
If you don't go here for the great drinks, amazing food go there for the ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT STAFF!

The young Irish lad came asked us if every thing was ok we said you sure this it small he said yes the portion is small . The food was lovely and tasty .
