I loved and was a loyal customer of Peko Peko for many years. One day I had a severe allergic reaction to one of the dishes, not having had an issue before or any food allergies. I contacted Peko Peko to ask for the ingredients of the meal I had and they refused to provide it. I persevered and in response they asked for my phone number to discuss ‘one on one’. I reluctantly provided my number, only for the owner to call me and scream at and abuse me on the call for many minutes until I saw no other option but to end the call. Part of her justification for screaming at me was that she was accusing me of trying to steal their recipe. I was very disappointed to no longer feel safe returning to a much loved venue, but it was now too risk for my new allergy and also too distressing to support a business run by someone who treats their customers so appallingly. If I was just rating her, it would be zero stars. The two stars is in recognition of it being - prior to this - a much loved place to eat.

Edit: I can see the owner I am referring to in my review has responded and accused this of being a fictitious review. Quite the contrary. I have no interest in having any further direct contact with her (you’d think unsurprising given my experience detailed above). I’m also not surprised by this being her response given her behaviour on the phone. But for the benefit of other customers, I have added a screen shot of a message received from Peko Peko after I contacted them and they asked for my phone number so this owner could ring me. I would not be surprised if she uses this screen shot to track down my details and have another go, or reveal further personal information about me in her response, which would be hugely disappointing and unprofessional, but only...

The food was delicious and so fresh. I ordered a range of dishes for a casual lunch. Soup, rice paper rolls and sushi rolls with ginger miso etc. it was really fresh and large portions so although the cost per roll is a small fraction more than other sushi places it was excellent value as the portions are HUGE ! Like mega size portions! Seriously large healthy portions. I ordered what I thought would be enough for 4 for a generous casual lunch and it was enough to feed everyone for a long lunch and then me on leftovers for another day or two. It’s fresh and really healthy and soooo tasty. My guests loved the salmon sashimi- tasted like straight out of the ocean. Even the soup at $10 a serve which seems a lot for takeaway , was so filling and so delicious - 4 servings was enough for 6 people with them having second helpings- that works out to be great value. I would definitely order again. A healthy easy way to cater for a delicious casual picnic or lunch - perfect!!! Thanks !! If I had to shop and cook it would have been way more stressful and I wouldn’t have been able to relax and spend time with my guests. ...

convenient place to grab a quick meal in doubleview !

serves asian fusion food targeting health conscious individuals, though everything looked very appetising with a good serving of vegetables ! i appreciate having the ingredients listed for each dish :]

service was also very good, heating the food took reasonably long, though there is a lack of seating, leaning towards the idea of being suited for takeaway.

however, portions for the prices are underwhelming, and we found the stir fry noodles to be very very salty and vinegary, which served as an interesting juxtaposition to the flavourless tofu and vegetables. the japanese curry tasted alright though :]

we didn't try the sushi and rice paper rolls though, which could be significantly better than the meals but overall i think this is a place i would come only out...

I couldn't buy food I wanted because power was off, but this notice about trespass in the window was highly amusing, not just because of the excessive liquidated damages of $1,000,000 (with no consideration of a lesser amount being awarded per the wording of this notice), not just because it refers to US law (UCC 3-419) that is irrelevant here, but because the high court case cited considers the tort of trespass and not any criminal offence. If this notice is there next time I go past, I might wonder if this false legal advice constitutes misleading or deceptive conduct in the course of trade or commerce. There is no anti-mask or anti-vax stuff here, but this marinara of false legal advice is amusing.

I can't believe how disgusting this food tastes and smells bad. Like it's off or expired left out in the shelf for a week. I had to wipe out own table when there was only 2 tables to sit. Like the staff could of done that much. The atmosphere was terrible, and couldn't even focus on eating and relaxing, with the crappy generic bass music. Not a place to relax and is low quality food at most. Don't get the Chicken Nasi Goresng. It's expired tasting.
