We couldnât book into our usual Italian restaurant so we opted for a new place! Portorosa, and we found ourselves absolutely delighted, not just by the food, but also the wonderful service and atmosphere of the restaurant. We will definitely be back. Surprisingly not too crowded, maybe because of the long weekend? But we had a table of eight. The food came promptly, and the staff were attentive. Serving sizes were prob smaller than what you would get elswhere, but honestly, the quality was amazing, fresh, aldante, and just right, kind of leaving you a little wanting more , but just right for the tummy.
The price was very fair for the quality and serving size.
We loved that all employees in the restaurant were Italian, which added to the family atmosphere.
Our family all had our different favourites as we ordered different dishes but to share.
The desserts are what topped it. We chose the Panna Cotta, Creme brulee & dumplings to share. The lovely waitress recommended the dumplings (little doughnutty pieces the size of gnocci, covered in icing sugar and dipped in nutella or maple syrup). We had never heard of it before but were so glad it was recommended.
We could not fault the restaurant. We look forward to coming back .
Thank you...
Read moreWorst place we have eaten Italian. The scallopini marsarla resembled, sorry to to say crap. there seafood platter was a joke. And for what they gave you was again ridiculous. What they are charging you $12. a stubby and $$ 40.oo cheapest bottle of wine ,which was disgusting. We will not be dining again at this place. We frequently went here, even it was first born, Coast Nostra, then Bella Napoli, with Joe running it. Our disappointment in our first visit back on Saturday is we will never dine here again. We don't care about cost as long as the meal delivers, which it didn't. Food, and drinks way over priced from ant other restaurants we go to. And we go to lots. Tip for anyone go to Catalonos in Baldivis and see what real Italian food is, but you have too book in advance. The only thing that I believe keeps Portarosa going is...

Portorosa has completely won me over with its incredible flavors and cozy, authentic atmosphere. I ordered the Gnocchi Alla Vodka, and it was absolute heavenâpillowy-soft gnocchi in a rich, creamy vodka sauce with just the right balance of tang and spice. The Risotto Delizia was another standoutâcreamy, perfectly al dente, and packed with delicious flavors that kept me savoring every bite.
The service was warm and attentive, making us feel like valued guests. The staffâs passion for Italian cuisine shines through in their recommendations and hospitality. Between the homemade dishes, inviting ambiance, and top-notch service, Portorosa has become my new favorite Italian spot. Highly recommendâIâll definitely be back to try more of the...
