The food here is excellent—cooked in tallow, which is hard to find, and the flavor speaks for itself. I’ve ordered takeout three times, and while two experiences were smooth, my last visit was anything but.

I placed my order over the phone, repeating it several times before we got it right. When I arrived, I gave them my name, but they claimed there was no order under it. After checking, they found it under a different name—an understandable miscommunication. What wasn’t okay was how they handled it. Instead of resolving it professionally, they openly joked about my mistake, gossiped about it while I stood there, and even called out the wrong name on purpose. As I left, I heard them laugh among themselves. Maybe I misread the situation, but it felt disrespectful and unprofessional.

Having just moved to the area and with my parents visiting from the UK, we thought we would give these a whirl. My father, a typical Pom, wanted cod & chips. From the descriptions provided I guessed that he may like Hake or Snapper and ordered a large portion of each with chips. It felt like literally within 5 minutes, the pleasant and helpful young lady who served us kindly brought the order outside where we had sat waiting. Got home and we were astonished at the size of the portions. We divided up between the 3 of us and there was probably enough for another 2 people. The fish and chips were all beautifully cooked. Rare customer service here from the owner and lovely staff ensures I always receive a friendly greeting and "just the usual" is sufficient to order a serve of the world's best fish, pineapple fritter and chips. Last Sunday however was an exception to this rule ... but just a plain exceptional exception😍 I decided to change up the order to squid rings, pineapple fritter and chips with the house tartare sauce. The squid portions ( 6 - a generous meal for one) was phenomenal melt in your mouth WA fresh. I have ordered squid everywhere in Perth and this serving - battered and cooked to absolute perfection - was the finest. Thanks to Vince and Staff.
