I'm a firm believer in supporting local businesses and when I received the flyer in my mailbox about the restaurant across the street, I thought I'll give it a try.
I was there just before lunchtime at around 1130am and the place was clean but quiet. The menu was very comprehensive and they also offered a very reasonable lunch menu (buffet at only 19.95 aud).
I wanted to try the goat curry on the menu and there was an initial hiccup when I was making the order. The lady staff seemed confused as to what I wanted and even though the "bowl meal" included a rice or naan option, she wanted to charge me for the naan separately. It took a few minutes before the lovely chef and (I assume) owner came to assist. He sorted it out quickly and food was served promptly.
The mango lassi was rich and tasty and the goat curry was absolutely divine too. The dip that came with the popaddum was very delicious too!
I left with another additional order of the mango lassi for my husband, simply because it was so good.
Given the road works that have clearly affected businesses around here, and this restaurant is really new (they opened only in May this year), I hope locals will come and show their support. I'm sure we'll be back for more delicious...
Read moreRecently, I had the pleasure of finding this wonderful restaurant. I had their Amritsari Chloe Kulche and it was absolutely delicious!! The Kulche was soo soft and flavourful with delicious chole. The meal was perfectly balanced with some yogurt and salad. After the Kulche, I had the Seeti Wala Kukad (home style chicken curry) with garlic Naan. The curry was perfectly balanced, flavourful and it was just a hug on a plate.
The hospitality was on point!
Though, I have never been to North India but the moment I had the first bite of the Kulche with chole and garlic Naan with chicken curry, I felt like I was sitting with a family in North India and eating their home cooked meal.
The food is worth more than the price and It's worth a visit! Highly...

A new gem that’s definitely worth a visit if you’re craving homemade Indian flavours. You are my new favourite and I’ll be...
