Wah Do Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Western Australia

The food is by far the best Chinese food in all of Perth. We travel from SOR just for Chinese food. We have tried a number of dishes and all have been outstanding, regardless of dine in or takeaway. Some personal favourites are the special fried rice, salt and pepper pork ribs, satay beef and sweet and sour pork. My family also thoroughly enjoy the boneless lemon chicken. The only negative we experienced was during our last visit we attended for a Sunday lunch. There was only 1 other couple seated in the entire restaurant but we had the worst service. Any time we tried to ask for someone, no one was listening and would just ignore our table. We had to ask numerous times to fill our tea pot or bring our beers from the fridge. We also had to follow up some dishes as most came out quickly and not the rest. We were also told they had no soft drinks or fried ice creams available. I really wanted to like it. Stepping into this restaurant its very dingy and dated and has all the charm of a serial killers bedroom. When the dining area is that dirty it makes you nervous for the food. There were only 3 tables of people but service took a long time and we had to call them over to take our order despite them passing us many times. We started with the spring rolls and they were overfried, the vegetable filling a slick colourless mash with a silky texture and no flavour. Next was the mains, a beef kwei teow that wobbled as it was put down on the table, such was the glugginess of the dish it had all formed one mass. The Honey Chicken was deep fried within inches of its life, some pieces seemed to be all batter and no chicken, and then in some the chicken was tough and chewy. Wah Do is excellent! My go to Chinese in Tuart Hill. I have, however just relocated from Tuart Hill to Bedfordale, a long way away!

The best Chinese in Armadale is Sun Hing.

However, not relevant if you live in the Tuart Hill area.

The ONLY two chinese restuarants in Perth for takeaway or sit in is either of these two.

If you are in the Tuart Hill area just go to Wah Do....

Don't bother going anywhere else... Really.... just go here....

Yer, sure, you may find cheaper....

But you get what you pay for.

Every single piece of Sweet and Sour Pork I have had, every piece of beef I have had, every piece of chicken I have had is high quality, I have never OUNCE had a gristly piece.
