Wonda Bake — Restaurant in Western Australia

A very popular bakery in the main street of Geraldton. The food on display was extensive and made choosing what to eat a bit of a challenge. I eventually settled on some honey chicken with fried rice. It was what was left over after the lunch rush, and the food was made up in a takeaway container. The food was okay at best, but edible, but to be fair, I didn't have it fresh out of the bain marie, so that might have made a difference in the taste. I also had a bee sting cake, which is my absolute favourite, however unfortunately it wasn't fresh. The sponge is meant to soft and melt in your mouth. There is plenty of seating inside, and the staff are proficient and friendly. If you are looking for something quick to eat, then this is the place for you. Extremely friendly staff who were courteous and helpful at all times for all of my needs. I last went to this very same place many years ago and now coming back again after all those years have passed it felt like i was coming home as it had that kind of atmosphere to it. Meals were easily affordable as prices were not like some other establishments that charge ridiculous prices. As for the food it was very fresh having been made within the last half hour or so, sometimes within the last couple of minutes at most. i used to go hear regularly for food when i used to live in geraltdon and it was quite good. now though it has obviously changed hands and not for the better. where once they had some of the best pies in australia now your better off getting a frozen pie from woolies and putting it in the microwave. they also sell 4 day old donuts as fresh but i doubt that matters as they no doubt taste terrible in the first place like the rest off their food. theres plenty if other places around to try close by and i would recommemd any of them...
